Race 1
LADY NANCY is the top bet on the programme. She ran a cracker when third in the Grade 3 Ridgemont Cape Of Good Hope Nursery last time. The manner in which she finished off her race that day was eye- catching. The daughter of Legislate is a progressive type and is back in Maiden Company. If not too green around the turn, she should take a power of beating.
QUERARISTINYFERARI’S last two starts have been decent. The daughter of Querari is coming along the right way and from her good draw of three, she may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
FLOWER TRYST showed some signs of needing her debut effort over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She would have gained from the experience and should make the natural improvement. Race 2
Race 2
BRIGHT BLUE lost three lengths leaving the start on debut, understandably raced green but the manner in which he finished off his race was encouraging. The son of Heavenly Blue would have gained from the experience and should love the rise to 1400m. With the natural improvement that is expected, he may be the one to beat.
VIKING LEADER was running on when third over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville on debut. The son of Erik The Red would have come on from the outing and with luck in running, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
BETTER NEVER ENDS‘ last two starts have been decent. He gets the blinkers fitted which should keep his mind on the task at hand. The son of Declarationofpeace should enjoy the rise to 1400m and would not be a surprise winner.
Race 3
GREEN TICKET was disappointing in his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. His first two career efforts were encouraging. The son of Admiral Kitten has scope and in this type of field, he may be the one to side with.
HIGHER LOVE stayed on when fourth over this C&D last time. He is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. The son of Erupt gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Divesh Ramkhalawon and with luck in running, he should pose a threat.
LEVITATOR stayed on when third over 1400m on this course last time. She has finished second once and third twice from four starts over this C&D. She carries a handy galloping mass of 53.5kgs and should earn another cheque.
Race 4
SAIL THE HORIZON stayed on at the finish over this C&D last time. The son of Horizon is a progressive type and the blinkers should keep his mind on the task at hand. He meets the right field and with luck in running, he can go one better.
LIGHT THE FIRE finished 0.25 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
WINTER MIRACLE’S last two starts have been fair. The daughter of What A Winter steps up to the mile for the first time. She carries a handy galloping mass of 54.5kgs and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she should give the males a run for their money.
Race 5
DI ROSA finished 1.45 lengths behind ACACIA’S BLOSSOM last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. The daughter of Visionaire jumps from a handy draw of five and if not too far out of her ground turning for home, she can return to winning ways.
ACACIA’S BLOSSOM has finished second in her last three starts. She tried hard over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time, but found one too good in the form of Amafort. She has won over this distance previously and merits healthy respect.
ROY’S GRACE followed up her maiden win with a fair fifth-place finish over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. Keagan de Melo rides and with luck in running, she can feature.
Race 6
GIMME WHAT I WANT lost a length leaving the start in the Grade 1 Maine Chance Farms Majorca Stakes last time, but the manner in which she stayed on at the finish was encouraging. She was given a peach of a ride when winning the Grade 2 Cartier Sceptre Stakes in her penultimate outing. She is likely to be settled near the rear of the field and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
QUICKSTEPGAL showed speed in the Grade 2 Cartier Sceptre Stakes before getting caught late by the top choice. She has won twice and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
KEUKENHOF was not disgraced in the Grade 1 Maine Chance Farms Majorca Stakes last time. She is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from the widest draw. With luck in running, she would not be a shock winner.
Race 7
GREEN GATEWAY was given a peach of a ride when winning the Listed Sophomore Sprint last time. He returns from an 18-week break, during which time he was gelded. The son of Gimmethegreenlight should love the rise to 1400m. He carries a handy galloping mass of 54kgs and if not in need of the run, he can follow up.
MALMESBURY MISSILE is better than his last two starts in the Western Cape. He returns from a 15-week break, during which time he was gelded. He has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. On best form shown, he should be competitive.
GOOD FOR YOU is better than his last two starts. The Grade 1 winner has finished second over this distance previously. He is the class horse in this race and may be hard to peg back.
Race 8
SILVER SALUTE was running on when fifth over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. The daughter of Vercingetorix won her only attempt over this distance. She takes on stronger, but carries a handy galloping mass of 55.5kgs. If all went well with her travels, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
BLUE POPPY set the pace over this distance on the polytrack last time before getting caught late by Boom Boom. Calvin Habib is likely to use her early gate speed to overcome the widest draw and she may be hard to peg back.
GULF OF AMERICA followed up her maiden win with a fair fifth-place finish over 1450m on the Vaal Classic course. She received a bump leaving the start and stayed on at the finish. The daughter of Rafeef will be mowing down the frontrunners
