FINE DINING was running on when second over 1200m on this course last time. He is drawn widest of all once again. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
ROYALE JACKET hails from the visiting Weiho and Warrick Marwing stable. He is better than his last three starts suggest. On best form shown, he should have a say in this field.
Race 2
MALONGANE ran a decent race in his comeback effort over 1400m on the turf. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Danon Platina drops to 1200m which may be ideal. Unless one of the first timers have ability, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
PRINCE OF TROY is an unraced son of Act Of War from the Alyson Wright stable with Athandiwe Mgudlwa in the saddle. He does not need to be a stable superstar to win in this field. If not in need of the run, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to him and the other unraced entrant.
RAMBUNCTIOUS ROB is a son of Gimmethegreenlight from the MJ Odendaal yard with Sean Veale up. If not too green in running, he should give a good account of himself in this small field.
Race 3
SPIRIT OF SHIMLA was in need of her debut effort over this C&D. The manner in which she finished off her race that day was encouraging. The daughter of Vercingetorix would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
QUEEN FENN has finished second in her last two starts, the latest of which was over this C&D. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
CHAMPAGNE PROBLEMS tried hard when second over this distance on the turf last time. She lost two lengths leaving the start that day and finished strongly. She has cracked a good draw of two and if jumping of terms, she would not be a shock winner.
Race 4
QUEEN OF THE AIR lost a length leaving the start last time and ran on to finish third. The daughter of Vercingetorix is having her peak run and should love the rise to 1800m. If jumping on terms, she can shed her maiden tag.
INTRO should have finished closer to the winner last time as she hung inwards throughout. She finished second in her only attempt over this distance. Craig Zackey is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.
SKIPPER O’MALLEY should have finished closer to the winner last time as she clipped heels at the start. The daughter of Fire Away has fair recent form lines to her name and with luck in running, she would not be a shock winner.

SPECTACULAR was not beaten far when fifth over 2400m on the turf last time. He has won once and finished second once from three starts over this C&D. If keeping on a straight line, he can notch up his third-career victory.
HODGEPODGE finished 0.25 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish. She won her only attempt over this distance.
OUR LADY FATE has good recent form lines to her credit. She raced from a handy position over 1900m on the turf last time and tried hard all the way to the line. The daughter of Master Of My Fate is in a good space and merits healthy respect.
Race 6
PAPA C stayed on at the finish when fourth over 1600m on the turf last time. He finished 1 length behind RODRIGUEZ in his penultimate outing. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field and if not too far out of his ground turning for home, he can return to winning ways.
EVENTIDOR stayed on when sixth over 1600m last time. He showed some signs of a form return that day. The 7yo gelding has cracked a good draw of three and on best form shown, he would not be a shock winner.
SYX HOTFIX stayed on when second over 1800m on this course last time. He has won three times from four starts over this C&D. 4kgs claiming Apprentice Damyan Pillay steps back into the saddle and the combination merit healthy respect.
Race 7
INDUSTRIALSTRENGTH is better than his last start over 1600m on the Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Winter course. He has won once and finished second twice from four starts over this distance. The son of Gimmethegreenlight takes on weaker opposition and if settled into KwaZulu-Natal, he should take a power of beating.
ISIKWISHIKWISHI moved up like a winner last time before getting touched off by Imperial Power. He has won once, finished second twice and third once from five starts over this C&D. He is an honest individual and merits healthy respect.
MVELELO is a winner of his last two starts over 1200m on this course. He has finished second in both his efforts over this distance. The son of What A Winter is in a good space and can notch up the hat-trick.
Race 8
SIBERIAN WINTER was running on when fourth over this distance on the turf last time. She returns from a 10-week break which may have done her the world of good. She finished third in her only attempt on this course. She drops in class and with a bit of luck from her wide draw, she can go close.
CLICKBAIT did not go on with the effort over 1000m last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. She tries the 1400m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she may be hard to peg back.
POURSOMESUGARONME lost four lengths leaving the start last time but finished off her race well. Two of her four career victories have come over this C&D. With luck in running, she should earn another cheque for her patrons
