Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Greyville on Wednesday 14th January where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge

Race 1

SKIPPER O’MALLEY cost herself winning last time as she hung inwards in the final 250m. She finished third in her penultimate run over this C&D. The daughter of Fire Away meets the right field and from barrier three, she may be hard to peg back.

SPANISH FEUD showed good improvement over this distance last time. She finished 1.4 lengths behind the top choice that day. She is 0.5kgs worse off at the weights and may have to settle for the same result.

CHASING GOLD is having her first run in KwaZulu-Natal. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in her last outing has come out and won since. If taking to the polytrack, she can earn a cheque for her patrons.

Race 2

THAT‘S MY BABY hails from the visiting Sean Tarry stable. She was reported to be distressed after her last outing on the Vaal Classic course. The daughter of Master Of My Fate won her only attempt on this course. Mickaelle Michel takes the 1.5kgs off her back once again and if all went well with her travels, she can notch up her fifth-career victory.

IMPOSING was an easy winner in the Listed Christmas Handicap last time. He took the lead at the 300m mark and won with a ton in hand. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. Should the top choice fluff her lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

ICY BLAST has good recent form lines to his name. He does have work to do at the weights, but is honest and should give another good account of himself.

Race 3

SOVEREIGN GRANT‘S last three starts have been good. She raced from a handy position over this C&D last time and tried hard all the way to the line. She returns from an 11-week break which may have done her the world of good. If not in need of the outing, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

LUCRATIVE received a bump leaving the start in the Listed Flamboyant Stakes last time, but stayed on at the finish. She gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Dezahn Louw which will assist her cause. She will strip much fitter and from pole position, she should be competitive.

BACK AT THE GEORGE was running on when third over 1100m on the turf last time. She steps up to 1400m and tries the polytrack. If taking to the surface, she should be involved at the finish.

Race 4

ZOOMBOMBER showed good signs of a form return when third over 1400m at the Vaal last time. He raced from a handy position, moved up well before getting caught late. He has won once, finished second twice and third once from as many starts over this C&D. S’manga Khumalo is booked to ride, and if confirming his recent improvement, he may be the one to beat.

BLAZING LIGHT lacked a strong finish when fourth over 1800m last time. Tristan Godden retains the ride and the blinkers are re-fitted. He is likely to race on the speed and on best form shown, he should pose a threat.

CIRCLE OF GRACE finished 1.4 lengths behind the second choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.

Race 5

MYSTICAL MISS has decent consistent form lines to her name. She stayed on when fifth over 1000m on the Vaal Classic course last time. The daughter of Rafeef takes a drop in class and if taking to the polytrack, she may be the one to beat.

MYSTIC DANCER was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over 1100m on this course. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She is in a good space and can notch up the hat-trick.

POURSOMESUGARONME stayed on when fourth over 1600m on the turf last time. Two of her four career victories have come over this distance. Keagan de Melo keeps faith in the ride which is encouraging.

Race 6

MAGIC SURPRISE‘S last start is best ignored as the jockey was dislodged leaving the start. He cost himself winning his penultimate outing over this distance on the turf as he hung inwards in the final 350m. The son of Willow Magic has ability and Rachel Venniker takes the 1.5kgs off his back. If all goes according to plan, he can return to winning ways.

MAPHAKA has consistent recent form lines to his credit. He has won once, finished second four times and third once from eight starts over this distance. The son of Gimmethegreenlight will be mowing down the frontrunners.

RAINBOW REWARD has good form lines to his name. It must be noted that the form of his last outing has been franked. He won his penultimate outing under this Apprentice and the combination merit healthy respect.
