SWEET GREEN finished 0.4 lengths behind the second choice on debut. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should be competitive.

MISS WORLD was not disgraced when fifth in the Grade 3 WSB Southern Cross Stakes last time. She should have finished closer to the winner that day as she hung outwards in the final 300m. She has won once, finished second six times and third twice from ten starts over this C&D. If keeping on a straight line, she can return to winning ways.
WILD APPLAUSE finished 0.2 lengths behind PINK PIGEON last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. She would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter.
PINK PIGEON‘S last three starts have been good. She raced from just off the pace last time, moved up before getting caught late by Catch A Penny. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and the combination merit healthy respect.

MAURITIUS KESTREL showed speed when winning his last start over this C&D. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. The son of Vercingetorix meets a similar line-up and merits healthy respect.

PRINCESS OF GAUL was her own worst enemy in the Grade 1 WSB Cape Fillies Guineas last time as she over raced in the early stages. However, the manner in which she stayed on at the finish was encouraging. The daughter of Vercingetorix will enjoy the drop back to 1200m and with a bit of luck in running, she can notch up her fourth-career victory.
QUICKSTEPGAL was given a peach of a ride when winning the Grade 1 WSB Cape Fillies Guineas last time. The daughter of Vercingetorix won her only attempt over this distance. She is loaded with class and merits healthy respect.
MIA MOO won a good race in the Listed Blu Voucher Carry On Alice Stakes last time. She would have come on from that outing and should strip much fitter. She won the Grade 1 SA Fillies Sprint, three runs ago. If all went well with her travels, she should be involved at the finish.
Race 5
OKAVANGO finished 2.75 lengths behind NATIVE RULER last time. He is 6kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this distance. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from his awkward draw and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
NATIVE RULER was not beaten far in the Grade 2WSB Green Point Stakes last time. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. This is the ideal race for him and he should pose a massive threat.
THE EQUATOR hails from the visiting Tony Peter stable. He found one too good in the form of Callmegetrix over 1600m at Turffontein last time. He is ideally suited to this distance and if all went well with his travels, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 6
DOUBLE GRAND SLAM is the best bet on the programme. She was given a peach of a ride when winning the Non-Black Type Summer Bowl last time. The daughter of Vercingetorix would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. She won this race last year and with Oisin Murphy in the saddle, she can defend her title.
RAINBOW LORIKEET finished 3.25 lengths behind SUKHUMVIT in the Grade 3 1Voucher Victress Stakes last time. She is 9kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.
REET PETITE ran a cracker when second in the Grade 1 WSB Cape Fillies Guineas last time. He raced from a handy position and tried hard all the way to the line. She carries a handy galloping mass of 54kgs and from pole position, she should be competitive.
Race 7
BUFFALO STORM CODY is a winner of his last four starts. He raced from just off the pace over this distance on the Vaal Classic course last time, found a good kick and won with a ton in hand. If all went well with his travels to Cape Town, he should notch up his ninth-career victory.
TENANGO was doing his best work late when second over this C&D last time. The son of Canford Cliffs is having his peak run today and will be cherry-ripe. He jumps from the inside draw and should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
I AM GIANT finished 0.2 lengths behind OUTLAW KING last time. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The booking of Oisin Murphy is a big plus.

SAIL THE SEAS rallied late when 0.75 lengths behind DAVE THE KING in the Grade 2 Ridgemont Green Point Stakes last time. The son of Vercingetorix has had the perfect preparation heading into this contest and jumps from a handy draw of five. He has a good turn of foot and if all goes according to plan, he can notch up his first Grade 1 victory.
JAN VAN GOYEN was an easy winner in the Grade 1 Hollywoodbets Cape Guineas last time. Callan Murray who was victorious aboard DAVE THE KING last time, has opted to stick with this son of Master Of My Fate. He is likely to get a good run in transit from barrier two and is one of the leading contenders.
DAVE THE KING lasted long enough when winning the Grade 2 Ridgemont Green Point Stakes last time. He is likely to get his own way in front from pole position and will be hard to peg back up the straight.

TRIPLE TIME finished 1.8 lengths behind HOLDING THUMBS last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. Oisin Murphy is booked to ride, and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
