LADY GODIVA has run two fair races to date. The daughter of Captain Of All should enjoy the extra 100m on offer and she should be the first raced runner past the post.

AMC ROY’S FANTASY has fair form lines to her name. It is encouraging that Callan Murray retains the ride and she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 2

OMKHULU BOSS showed good improvement when fourth over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. He showed good speed before getting outrun late. The son of Malmoos is a progressive type and if seeing out the extra 200m on offer, he should be the one to beat.

SMART CHOICE tried hard when second over 1000m on this course last time. The daughter of Erik The Red gets the services of Mickaelle Michel who takes the 1.5kgs off her back. Should the top choice fluff his lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

RIFF RAFF BOY finished 1.35 lengths behind the second choice last time. He is 1.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

Race 3

PRESSURE POINT showed good improvement when fifth over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. He raced wide around the turn, hung inwards in the straight but the manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. It is encouraging that Keagan de Melo does duty and he can improve to win.

PSYCHE has finished third in both efforts to date. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight will love the rise to 1600m. She jumps from a good draw of two and is one of the leading contenders.

RED CARDINAL stayed on when second over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. The son of Erik The Red is coming along the right way and merits healthy respect.

Race 4

SASCHA’S DREAM challenged strongly over this C&D last time, but found one too good in the form of Curious Girl. The daughter of Flying The Flag has dropped to a competitive rating. She is drawn widest of all but Rachel Venniker knows her well and she should give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

ZENA ROSE finished 0.7 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 1.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

FINE WINE is better than her last start over this C&D. She has cracked a good draw of three and on previous form, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 5

DEFINITELY YES’ last two starts have been good. He cast a shoe in running last time which didn’t help his cause. Chad Little was aboard the son of Vercingetorix when victorious in his penultimate effort. He jumps from pole position and may be hard to peg back.

PHUTULICIOUS has good recent form lines to his credit. He set the pace over 1200m last time before getting caught late. With a bit of luck in running, he should be involved at the finish.

SLYTHERIN fought hard for his last victory over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He would have come on from the outing and Keagan de Melo retains the ride. The son of Pomodoro is in a good space and merits healthy respect.

Race 6

BACK AT THE GEORGE won a game race over 1400m on the polytrack last time. The daughter of What A Winter received a four-pound penalty for that victory. Two of her three career victories have come over this distance. She is in a good space and can follow up with another victory.

CONVOCATION was not disgraced when fourth in the Non-Black Type African Holly Stakes. Three of her seven career victories have come over this C&D. She runs well for S’manga Khumalo and should go close.

ONE SMART COOKIE ran on strongly when winning her last start over this C&D. She finished 4.8 lengths behind the top choice in her penultimate run. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.

CONNERY cost himself winning last time as he hung inwards and shifted away from the crop in the closing stages. He has won once and finished second once from three starts over this C&D. If keeping on a straight line, he may be hard to peg back.
