Winning Form selections for racing from Turffontein on Thursday 19th February where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

Race 1

BATTLEGROUND stayed on when second over 2400m on the Standside course last time, but found one too good in the form of Enflame. He has won two times from three starts over this C&D. He drops back in class and can notch up his sixth-career victory.

EUPHRATES has produced two decent efforts since winning his maiden. He finished 0.5 lengths behind MILITARY MOVES in his penultimate run. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and should turn the form around.

MILITARY MOVES took the lead at the 300m mark last time before getting outrun late by Pomozelous. The son of Fire Away steps up to 2600m and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he should be involved.

Race 2

FUTURE GAMBLE makes her way up to the Highveld from the Western Cape. The daughter of Futura has plenty of scope and a change of scenery may make the difference. The booking of Callan Murray is a big plus and if all goes according to plan, she can shed her maiden tag.

GALAXY QUEEN stayed on when second over this distance on the Vaal Classic course last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. She gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep her mind on the task at hand.

IN BETWEEN showed improvement when third over 2000m on the Vaal Classic course last time. The daughter of Gold Standard drops back in distance and cannot be discounted.

Race 3

GIMMETHESPOTLIGHT made the natural improvement when second over this distance on the Vaal Classic course last time. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging. It must be noted that World Order has come out and won again since. The son of Gimmethegreenlight is a progressive type and with Gavin Lerena in the saddle, he should take a power of beating.

STATUS produced an encouraging debut effort over 1450m on the Vaal Classic course. He returns from a lengthy 61-week break. If not in need of the run, he may be the horse to fill the exacta spot.

QUEVANO should have finished closer last time as he was baulked for running room between the 400m mark and 200m mark. The blinkers have been removed. He steps up to 1600m and can finish in the money.

Race 4

ALMOND SEA was an easy winner of her last start over 1160m at Turffontein. She was slow into stride and finished strongly. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. She tries the 1450m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she can follow up.

PRESSONREGARDLESS won a game race in the Listed 4Racing Wolf Power 1600 last time. He has won once, finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. The son of Lancaster Bomber is in a good space and merits healthy respect.

DOITWITHDIAMONDS ran a fair race in the Listed War Of Athena Handicap last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. She is ideally suited to this C&D and is a solid back-up for the Tony Peter stable.

Race 5

DRIVELIKEAMASTER should have finished closer to the winner last time as he was baulked for running room between the 400m mark and 200m mark. He finished second in his only attempt over this C&D. Gavin Lerena is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

FOSTINOVO raced from a handy position over this distance on the Vaal Classic course last time, but found one too good in the form of Quickfreeze. The 6yo gelding is in a good space and should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

DECEPTION PASS‘ last two starts have been fair. The son of Ideal World has dropped to a competitive rating and would not be a shock winner. He is carded to race on 12 February 2026 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

Race 6

SAKURA HANAMI was an easy winner when shedding her maiden tag over 1160m on the Standside course. She raced from a prominent position, showed a good turn of foot and drew off in the closing stages. The daughter of What A Winter takes on stronger, but she has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.

BRIGHT AND BRAZEN ran a good race when third over 1450m on the Vaal Classic course last time. She has won once and finished second once from three starts over this C&D. She is carded to race on 12 February 2026 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.

ROYAL HORIZON should have finished closer last time as she was baulked for running room at the 150m mark. She is back against her own sex and with luck in running, she can show. She is carded to race on 14 February 2026 and her progress will need to be followed.

Race 7

KISSING MACHINE stayed on when second in the Listed TAB Spook Express Stakes last time. She won her only attempt over this C&D. The daughter of Master Of My Fate is an honest individual and can notch up her third-career victory.

ANCIENT WISDOM stayed on when second over 1800m on the Vaal Classic course last time. She has won once, finished second once and third once from four starts on this course. If confirming her recent improvement, she should pose a threat.

AZALEAS FOR ALL finished 0.25 lengths behind the second choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.

Race 8

LITTLEMISSSPLENDID‘S last four starts have been good. She was far from disgraced when third in the Listed TAB Spook Express Stakes last time. She finished second in her penultimate outing over this distance. Kabelo Matsunyane steps back into the saddle and she may be rewarded for consistency.

FALCONFLY was running on when second over 1800m on the Vaal Classic course last time. She carries a light mass of 50kgs and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

BACK FROM WAR lost a length leaving the start last time, but stayed on to finish third. The daughter of Act Of War drops in class and she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 9

FORCE PUBLIQUE raced from a handy position over 1800m last time, tried hard but found one too good in the form of Storm Ahead. He gets the cheekpieces fitted for the first time which should keep his mind on the task at hand. If seeing out the 2000m, he can go one better.

EXPRESS YOURSELF finished 0.30 lengths behind CARNELO last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and should turn the form around. With a bit of luck in running, he should pose a threat.

CARNELO found one too good in the form of Agoge last time. He finished third in his only attempt over this C&D. The 7yo gelding is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back
