Winning Form selections for racing from the Vaal on Saturday 20th December where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

Race 1

HEATH HOUSE was super-impressive when winning on debut over 800m at Turffontein. He showed good speed and won with a ton in hand. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. The son of Erupt would have gained from the experience and he should remain unbeaten.

VOLCANIC HEAT won a good race on debut over 800m at Turffontein. She showed good speed and found another kick where it matters most. The daughter of Erupt could be anything and may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

RUBY WHISPER finished 1.7 lengths behind the second selection on debut. She would have come on from the outing and should enjoy the extra 200m on offer. The daughter of Captain Of All can finish in the placings.

Race 2

GREENSIDE GIRL is an unraced daughter of Gimmethegreenlight from the Sean Tarry stable and Richard Fourie is booked to ride. She is related to four-time winner Country Time. If not in need of the run, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her and the other unraced entrants.

VARACHINO‘S CHAMP has produced two fair runs to date. She should enjoy the rise to 1200m. She is carded to race on 18 December 2025 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.

BE ALL YOU CAN BE is a daughter of Vercingetorix from the Fabian Habib yard and Apprentice Savanna Valjalo takes the 4kgs off her back. She is related to three-time winner Bacchus. If not too green in running, she should give a good account of herself.

Race 3

TINTIN is the best bet on the programme. He stayed on at the finish over 1160m at Turffontein last time, but found one too good in the form of Splittheeights. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Rafeef is a progressive type and he meets the right field. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and he should take a power of beating.

HAMMER BLOW is better than his last start as he was reported to be not striding out. It must be noted that Speedman has come out and won again since. He showed promise in his first two starts and may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

SKY PILOT had excuses in both his efforts in the Western Cape. The son of Gimmethegreenlight has plenty of scope and with the services of Calvin Habib, he can improve to finish in the placings.

Race 4

MAVERICK QUEEN was super-impressive when winning her last start over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course. She raced from just off the pace, showed a good turn of foot and won with a ton in hand. She meets a similar line-up this afternoon and can follow up with another victory.

SHE‘S ALL MINE has good recent form lines to her credit. The daughter of New Predator is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D. She is one of the leading contenders.

SPY STORY was running on when second over 1160m at Turffontein last time. Andrew Fortune is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most. He is carded to race on 16 December 2025 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

Race 5

CHABAL is a winner of his last two starts, the latest of which was over this C&D. He ran on well at the finish that day and fought hard to hold all challengers at bay. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. He gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Savanna Valjalo which will assist his cause. He is carded to race on 16 December 2025 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

COPPER PLATE was touched off over 2600m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. He finished 4.2 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate run. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.

ROMEO‘S MAGIC stayed on when third over 2000m last time. Two of his 9 career victories have come over this distance. With luck in running, he should earn another cheque for his patrons.

Race 6

RED BOMBER showed good signs of a form return over 1400m at Turffontein last time. He finished 1.05 lengths behind PRESSONREGARDLESS that day. He is 4.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The son of Lancaster Bomber should have no issues with the 1475m and may be hard to peg back.

PRESSONREGARDLESS tried hard when third over 1400m at Turffontein last time. He is clearly in a good space and Richard Fourie is booked to ride. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

MASTERSHIP won his last start over 1500m on the Classic course easier than the official margin suggests. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts on this course. The son of Master Of My Fate merits healthy respect.

Race 7

PALACE PRINCE is better than his last start over 1500m on the Classic course as he was reported to be not striding out. He has won once, finished second twice and third once from five starts on this course. The booking of Andrew Fortune is a big plus. If this run has not come too soon, he can return to winning ways.

AMOR FATI received a bump leaving the start over 1400m on the polytrack last time, but finished off his race well. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

SECRET CHORD is the stable companion of the top choice. He should have no issues with the rise to 1475m and is a solid back-up for the St John Gray yard.

Race 8

BIG UNIT finished 3.8 lengths behind DRIVELIKEAMASTER last time. He is 6.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He finished 1.85 lengths behind AFTER HOURS in his penultimate run. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights. The son of Master Of My Fate will be mowing down the frontrunners.

COPPOLA was an easy winner of his last start over 1600m on this course. He set the pace and found another kick. The son of Skitt Skizzle should have no issues with the drop in trip and can bring up the hat-trick.

AFTER HOURS finished 5.2 lengths behind DRIVELIKEAMASTER last time. He is 6kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.

Race 9

This is a competitive Merit Rated 66 Handicap and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is GOLDEN ASPEN from the Corne Spies stable. She ran a fair race when fifth over this C&D last time. The 7yo mare has dropped to a competitive rating and if Trent Mayhew can switch her off early, she can notch up her tenth-career victory.

LEGENDARY showed good improvement when third over 1200m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. Rachel Venniker retains the ride and the combination cannot be discounted.

BLOOMINGTON stayed on when third over this C&D last time. He was reported to be fatigued that day. He is carded to race on 16 December 2025 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

Race 10

TIGER STORM raced from just off the pace over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course last time, but found one too good in the form of Daring Act. He finished 1.15 lengths behind ORIENTAL BOUQUET in his penultimate run. He is 4.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

INAFIX tired late when third over this distance at Turffontein last time. He drops back in class and despite his big weight of 63kgs, he cannot be ignored.

NKANDLA GOLD is better than his last start as he was reported to be not striding out. He was touched off in his penultimate outing under Gavin Lerena, over this C&D. If putting his best foot forward, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest
