Race 1
GALAXY QUEEN showed some improvement when third over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course last time. She was slow into stride, but stayed on at the business end. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. The daughter of Declarationofpeace is a progressive type and may be the one to side with.
KORCULA stayed on when second over 1700m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. Gavin Lerena retains the ride, and she is one of the leading contenders.
CHICKASAW ran a good race when third in her first run on the Highveld. She lost a length leaving the start and stayed on at the finish. Muzi Yeni is booked to ride, and she cannot be discounted.
Race 2
AGOGE produced a promising debut effort over 1400m. He moved up well that day and fought hard all the way to the line. The son of Gimmethegreenlight would have gained from the experience and will love the rise to 1600m. With the natural improvement that is expected, he should go one better.
MILAN‘S WORLD has finished second in his last two starts. He lost a length leaving the start last time and stayed on at the finish. The son of One World is having his peak run and should be cherry-ripe. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
DISTRICT ATTORNEY showed some signs of needing his last start over 1400m. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. The son of Global View is a progressive type and can finish in the placings.
Race 3
SKY PILLAR ROCK has fair recent form lines to his name. He has finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. The son of Fire Away takes a drop in class and Savanna Valjalo takes the 4kgs off his back. From his good draw of four, he can notch up his second-career victory.
COMMANDER OF ALL was an easy winner of his last start over 1700m. He raced from a handy position and drew clear of the opposition. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
HOPSCOTCH stayed on when fourth over 2000m at the Vaal last time. She tries the blinkers for the first time which should keep her mind on the task at hand. She jumps from pole position and cannot be discounted.
Race 4
BEYNAC should have finished closer in the Non-Black Type Summer Cup Consolation last time. The son of Querari won his only attempt over this C&D. He is likely to race on the speed from barrier two and may be hard to peg back.
CHESTNUT BOMBER finished 1.2 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 2kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around.
HAWKBILL is better than his last start as he was reported to be lame. It must be noted that The Ultimate King has come out and won again since. On previous form, he should be involved at the finish.
Race 5
BUFFALO STORM CODY is the best bet on the programme. He is a winner of his last three starts. The son of Buffalo Bill Cody raced from just off the pace over 1160m last time, showed a good turn of foot and drew clear of the opposition. He is the highest-rated horse in this contest and should take a power of beating.
WILLIAM ROBERTSON is better than his last start as he was reported to be fatigued. He finished 2.25 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate effort. He is 1.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around.
TAXI TO THE MOON challenged strongly in the Listed Allied Steelrode Golden Loom Handicap last time, but found one too good in the form of Cosmic Star. He gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Savanna Valjalo which will assist his cause. He is a solid back-up for the Tony Peter stable.
Race 6
MUSICAL SCORE is better than his last two starts, the latest of which was in the Grade 2 Allied Steelrode – Onamission Charity Mile. The son of Oratorio is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. He is a horse with ability and carries a handy galloping mass of 54.5kgs. Craig Zackey may be able to get the best out of him where it matters most.
THAT‘S MY BABY had excuses over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. It must be noted that Minogue has come out and won again since. She carries a light mass and should give the males a run for their money.
TEXAS RED challenged strongly over 1400m last time, but found one too good in the form of Minogue. Malesela Katjedi retains the ride and if confirming his recent improvement, he should be involved at the finish.
Race 7
PALACE PRINCE won a good race in his last start over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course. He was sent to the front and found extra to hold all challengers at bay. The son of Potala Palace is loaded with ability and can follow up with another victory.
MASTERSHIP may not have seen out the 1800m last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He will enjoy the drop to 1500m and must be considered.
MASTER CHRISTMAS is better than his last start over 1400m. He has won three times and finished second once from six starts on this course. With a bit of luck from his awkward draw of eight, he should be involved at the finish.
Race 8
GERBERA is better than her last start in the Listed Betway Summer Pudding Handicap. Her penultimate run when fourth over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course catches the eye. If putting her best foot forward, she can notch up her third-career victory.
DOITWITHDIAMONDS set the pace over 1700m last time before getting outrun late. Her last victory came under Gavin Lerena. She is carded to race on 4 December 2025 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.
BAKWENA was doing her best work late when fourth in the Listed Betway Summer Pudding Handicap last time. She won her penultimate outing over 1500m on this course. She is likely to be settled near the rear of the field and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
Race 9
OPERA FAN finished 1.5 lengths behind RINGA RINGA ROSES last time. She is 6kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She won her maiden over this distance and may be the one to side with.
GRACE‘S KISS finished 3.8 lengths behind RINGA RINGA ROSES in the race referred to above. She is 7kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough to turn the form around. The daughter of Erik The Red has plenty of scope and she merits healthy respect.
RINGA RINGA ROSES followed up her maiden win with a good victory over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course. The daughter of Louis The King should have no issues with the rise to the mile and can bring up the hat-trick.
Race 10
Trainer St John Gray holds a strong hand in this contest and he can saddle the first two past the post. GUERILLA WARFARE has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. 2.5kgs claiming Apprentice Mxolisi Mbuto retains the ride. The son of New Predator may be the one to side with.
GAMER stayed on when second over 1700m last time. He has won once and finished second twice from five starts over this C&D. Mickaelle Michel takes the 1.5kgs off his back which will assist his cause.
VAVA VEGAS has good recent form lines to his name. He is drawn widest of all, but Craig Zackey knows him well and should give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle
