Winning Form selections for Fairview on Friday 12th December where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

RACE 1

ENGELANDPARK showed good improvement when second over this C&D last time. The daughter of Erupt gets the tongue-tie fitted for the first time which may do the trick. She is having her peak run and from barrier four, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

KENTUCKY LASSIE finished 0.25 lengths behind the top choice on debut. The manner in which she finished off her race that day was encouraging. The daughter of Declarationofpeace would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should be competitive.

ROCKIE BLUE is an unraced daughter of Heavenly Blue from the Alan Greeff stable with Richard Fourie in the saddle. She is related to multiple winners including Three Rocks and Rockie Reef. If not too green in running, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.

RACE 2

AMANATTO moved up like a winner over this C&D last time, tried hard but found one too good in the form of Pomerol. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She jumps from an ideal draw of two and can shed her maiden tag.

MISS TAKES ran a creditable race when third in his local debut over 1200m on this course. He will enjoy the extra 200m on offer and should strip much fitter. Should the top choice fluff her lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

PRICELESS PEARL has run two fair races since relocating to the Eastern Cape. He does have an awkward draw to contend with, but gets the services of S’manga Khumalo who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

RACE 3

ZATARA MAGIC won a good race in the Listed Betway Algoa Cup last time. Craig Zackey sent him to the front and he kept finding all the way to the line. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. Four of his eight career victories have come on this course. He jumps from a good draw of three and should be hard to peg back.

WECANGOALLNIGHT ran a good race when fourth over 1400m on this course last time. The 6yo gelding steps up to 2200m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he should pose a threat.

BOURNEMOUTH is better than his last three starts suggest. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. On best form shown, he would not be a shock winner.

RACE 4

POMEROL was given a confident ride by Xolani Ndlovu when shedding her maiden tag over this C&D last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of Legislate takes on stronger, but she has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.

BRETTY stayed on when third over 1600m on this course last time. She has won once and finished third twice from five starts over this C&D. She is likely to be settled near the rear of the field and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

GREENLIGHT DANCER finished 1.5 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.

RACE 5

GREAT NOTION won a good race in her local debut over 1200m on the turf. The manner in which she quickened up and won going away was eye-catching. She received a four-pound penalty for that victory. The daughter of Danon Platina is the stable elect with Richard Fourie booked to ride. Despite her big mass of 62.5kgs, she can follow up with another victory.

JET LAVISH was an easy winner in her stable debut over this C&D. She received a seven-pound penalty for that victory. Apprentice Bavish Soodoo takes the 4kgs off her back once again, and she merits healthy respect.

CHERRY OH BABY won a good race over 1300m on this course last time. She has won once and finished second twice from as many starts over this trip. Xolani Ndlovu will do duty and she is a solid back-up for the Alan Greeff stable.

Race 6

SILVONIAN has good consistent form lines to his credit. He ran on well after a slow start in his last outing over 1200m on this course. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he should have no issues with the rise to 1400m. With a bit of luck in running, he can notch up his second-career victory.

WHATEVER NEXT finished 1.3 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.

ARLU did not go on with the effort in the Guineas Plate last time. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. He is the best-weighted runner in this contest and would not be a shock winner.

RACE 7

DIAMOND JIM followed up his maiden victory with an encouraging fifth-place finish over 1200m on this course. The son of Rafeef stayed on nicely at the finish that day. He would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. He makes his handicap debut and may be the one to side with.

TEEREX finished 0.1 lengths behind RAVILIOUS last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. With a bit of luck in running, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.

RAVILIOUS has top consistent form lines to his credit. He was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over 1200m on this course. The son of Global View runs well for 4kgs claiming Apprentice Bavish Soodoo. He is in a good space and can bring up the hat-trick.

RACE 8

HOPE CHEST returns from a 25-week break and is having her first run for the Juan Nel stable. The daughter of What A Winter has been taking on stronger in the Western Cape. She tries the tongue-tie which may do the trick. She takes a drop in class and if not in need of the run, she should have good improvement to come.

BLOWIN IN THE WIND is having her first outing in the Eastern Cape for Trainer Lunga Gila. The daughter of Querari has dropped in the ratings and if settled into her new surroundings, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

GENOVEFA tried hard when second over 1300m on this course last time, but found one too good in the form of Cherry Oh Baby. She drops to 1000m and in this type of field, she should be involved in the fight to the finish
