Race 1

BLOOD OF EDEN stayed on when third over 1700m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. She will love the rise to 1800m and gets the services of capable work rider Chamu Mabaya. If getting away on terms, she can shed her maiden tag.

HUBERTUS HUNT has improved since returning from an 11-week break. She is having her peak run and will be cherry-ripe. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

CHICKASAW stayed on at the finish after receiving a bump leaving the start last time. She finished third over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course in her penultimate run. With a bit of luck in running, she should have a say.

Race 2

DELAWARE RIVER has good recent form lines to her credit. She stayed on when second over 1400m at Turffontein last time. Keagan de Melo is booked to ride and he may be able to get the best out of her. She is carded to race on 30 December 2025 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.

THE REASON showed good improvement when third over 1160m at Turffontein last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She is a progressive type and will enjoy the extra distance on offer. She is carded to race on 30 December 2025 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.

BRIGITTE ANNE finished 3.2 lengths behind the second choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms and she may have to settle for the same result.

Race 3

GO JOHNNY GO made the expected natural improvement when second over this C&D last time. The son of Gimmethegreenlight is a progressive type and gets the cheekpieces fitted for the first time. If jumping on terms, he can go one better.

SHOREYBOMBA finished 2.55 lengths behind LANCE ALOT last time. He is 4kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. If finding the form of his penultimate run, he should be competitive.

LANCE ALOT was caught late when second over 1600m on this course last time. He is coming along the right way and merits healthy respect. He is carded to race on 1 January 2026 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

Race 4

JAFFA has produced two good runs to date. He was slow into stride over 1450m last time, but the manner in which he finished off his race was encouraging. The son of The United States is a progressive type and will love the rise to 1800m. He is carded to race on 1 January 2026 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

NARETOI has produced three decent efforts since arriving on the Highveld. He found one too good in the form of Real Stunner last time. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

EMERALD CITY set the pace over 2400m last time before getting caught late by Euphrates. Ryan Munger is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

Race 5

GERBERA stayed on when third in the Listed War Of Athena Handicap last time. She finished second over 1600m on this course in her penultimate run. Craig Zackey steps back into the saddle from pole position, and she should be competitive.

READ ALL ABOUT IT‘S last two starts have been good. The son of Hawwaam should be ideally suited to this distance. He is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back.

ENFLAME is better than his last start in the Listed Allied Steelrode Java Stakes as he was reported to be not striding out. The 10-week break may have done him the world of good. If not in need of the run, he should have a say.

Race 6

LITTLEMISSMILLION stayed on at the finish when fifth in the Grade 3 Ducat Africa Fillies Mile last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. She carries a handy galloping mass of 53kgs and jumps from a good draw of three. The daughter of Elusive Fort has ability and may be the one to beat.

FAMOUS LADY is better than her last start as she was reported to be not striding out and fatigued. She won a good race in the Non-Black Type The Lady’s Stakes in her penultimate run. Calvin Habib is likely to use her early gate speed to overcome the wide draw without using up too much energy.

ACCEPT COOKIES finished 0.95 lengths behind BOOM BOOM last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

Race 7

SIGRID SWING is better than her last start over 2000m as she was reported to be fatigued. She has finished second three times from as many starts over this C&D. She is drawn widest of all but gets the services of Gavin Lerena who will give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

SCARLETT HEART is better than her last start over 2000m. She has won once, finished second twice and third once from as many starts over this distance. On best form shown, she should be involved at the finish.

SPECIAL STAR showed a good turn of foot when winning her last start over 1800m on the Turffontein Inside course. She returns from an 18-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. She takes on stronger, but has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.

Race 8

PRINCESS ILARIA stayed on at the finish when second over this C&D last time, but found one too good in the form of Hong Kong. She takes a drop back in class and from her good draw of two, she can go one better.

CAPE SAFFRON was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course. She received a three-pound penalty for that victory. She is in a good space and merits healthy respect.

ARASHI finished 4.45 lengths behind the second choice last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.

Race 9

PALACE REVOLT ran a good race when third over this distance last time. The blinkers seem to have done the trick on him. S’manga Khumalo retains the ride and he can notch up his third-career victory. He is carded to race on 3 January 2026 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

WESTERN WISHES produced a strong finish when winning her last start over this C&D. With a bit of luck from the wide draw, she should give the males a run for their money.

PROPHET finished 1.85 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today which is not enough for the tables to be turned
