Winning Form selections for racing from the Vaal on Tuesday 24th February where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

Race 1

MRS STORMIATRIX ran a good race when second over this C&D last time. She raced from just off the pace but found one too good in the form of King Redoute. The daughter of Vercingetorix is having her peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. She gets the services of capable work rider Phenisile Mongqawa and is the horse to beat.

WISPINTHEWILLOW has produced two fair runs to date. The daughter of Willow Magic has scope and she may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

JAWBREAKER finished 5.3 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result. He is carded to race on 21 February 2026 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

Race 2

STAR BLAZE produced a promising debut effort over this C&D. She raced from a prominent position but found one too good in the form of El Zani. The daughter of The United States found betting support which suggests that she was showing good work at home. She would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she may be the one to beat.

DUCHESS DI returns from a 13-week break/suspension. The daughter of William Longsword has scope and if fit, she should pose a threat.

EMPRESS WU stayed on when third over this C&D last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Global View will strip much fitter and she should produce another honest performance.

Race 3

COVER CHARGE is an unraced son of Erik The Red from the Corne Spies stable with Ryan Munger booked to ride. He is related to multiple winners including Surcharge and Key Worker. He does not need to be a stable superstar to win in this field. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to him and the other unraced entrants.

DEAR DOC has finished third in both his efforts to date. The son of Heavenly Blue will love the rise to 1450m. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, he should be the first raced runner past the post.

NIGHTSHINE has finished second in both his runs to date. He found one too good in the form of World Attraction last time. The son of Rafeef tries 1450m and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 4

BLOOD OF EDEN is better than her last start over 1600m on this course. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. Her form prior to that outing was good. The daughter of Heavenly Blue should have no issues with the rise to 2000m and the blinkers have been removed. In this type of field, she can shed her maiden tag.

SHADOWLINE‘S last two starts have been fair. The daughter of Rafeef has scope and she would not be a shock winner.

COOL REGGAE ran a good race when third over 1600m on this course last time. She raced from a handy position and stayed on at the finish. If repeating that effort in this field, she should be involved at the finish.

Race 5

VIXENINTHEVINEYARD has finished second in her last three starts. She raced from a handy position over 1800m at Turffontein last time and stayed on at the business end. S’manga Khumalo is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.

WAR TALK finished 6.1 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 2kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

THOONSIL is better than his last start over 1800m on this course. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He is having his first run as a gelding and would not be a shock winner.

Race 6

MOVER AND SHAKER won a good race over this C&D last time. He showed good speed, found another kick and drew off in the closing stages. He gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Blaine Marx-Jacobson which will assist his cause. He is in a good space and can follow up with another victory.

MAGIC TATTOO finished 2.35 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.

RAFA BAY finished 1.85 lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 2kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around.

Race 7

MAVERICK QUEEN took on stronger in her last start over 1200m on this course. Her last victory came under Craig Zackey. The daughter of Captain Of All drops to 1000m and the blinkers should sharpen her up. She drops back in class and can notch up her fourth-career victory.

PRECOCIOUS followed up her maiden win with an equally impressive victory over this C&D. She showed good speed, found another kick and won with a ton in hand. The daughter of Ideal World is in a good space and can bring up the hat- trick.

BOSUM BUDDY‘S last two starts over this C&D have been good. The daughter of Canford Cliffs drops back in class and merits obvious consideration.

Race 8

ANGEL‘S OASIS stayed on nicely when fourth over 1200m on this course last time. The daughter of Querari takes a drop in class and should be cherry-ripe. If getting away on terms, she can return to winning ways.

BLINDFIRE‘S last two starts have been good. She has won once, finished second twice and third twice from six starts over this C&D. She gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Blaine Marx-Jacobson which will assist her cause. She should give the males a run for their money.

QUEEN‘S PACT finished 0.25 lengths behind ORIENTAL BOUQUET last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned
