Winning Form selections for racing from the Vaal on Tuesday 2nd September where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

Race 1

GONNA CATCH YOU is an unraced son of Vercingetorix from the Mike and Mathew de Kock stable with Craig Zackey booked to ride. He is related to four-time winner Greaterix. If not in need of the outing, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to his chances.

NEVER NEVER LAND produced an encouraging debut effort over 1200m on the Turffontein Inside course. He would have gained from the experience and should love the extra 200m on offer. With the natural improvement that is expected, he should be competitive.

AMANDLA NGAWETHU‘S last two starts have been fair. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth in his last outing has come out and won since. He will be at peak fitness and can show.

Race 2

SUNSHINE DAY ran on from last when second over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. She finished second in her only C&D attempt. The daughter of Potala Palace drops in class and she can go one better.

COMMANDER OF ALL has fair recent form lines to his name. He lost a length leaving the start last time and stayed on to finish fourth. Should the top choice fluff her lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

PRIZED PLATINUM is better than his last start as the jockey reported something to be amiss in running. He steps up to 1400m which may suit him well. On best form shown, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 3

SOHO HEARTTHROB was doing his best work late when third over this distance at Turffontein last time. It must be noted that Jan Van Goyen has come out and won a Grade 1 since. He is the best weighted runner in this contest with 54.5kgs on his back. Craig Zackey steps back into the saddle and he is the horse to beat.

MASTER CHRISTMAS ran a good race when fourth in his first effort for the Tony Peter stable. He was slow into stride, but stayed on at the finish. He gets the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Girish Samo-Burthia which will assist his cause. He is one of the leading contenders.

OPEN HIGHWAY has good recent form lines to his credit. He has won twice, finished second once and third twice from seven starts over this distance. The son of Var merits healthy respect.

Race 4

WESTERN WISHES quickened up well to win her last start over 1160m at Turffontein. She would have come on from the outing and should love the rise to 1600m. She gets the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Girish Samo-Burthia and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she can follow up with another victory.

GOLDEN ASPEN was a tad disappointing over 1450m last time. Her penultimate run when third over 1400m on this course was encouraging. Trent Mayhew steps back into the saddle and the combination can go close in this field.

CAN‘T CATCH ME finished 1.25 lengths behind the second choice last time. She is 0.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

Race 5

ZIP CODE was not disgraced when second over 1600m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. He raced from a handy position, but found one too good in the form of Pioneer Square. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He returns to Handicap Company and can go one better.

UNSOLVED RIDDLE stayed on when third over 1600m at Turffontein last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. Gavin Lerena retains the ride, and he should be involved at the finish.

STREWN SKY has fair recent form lines to his name. He finished 0.95 lengths behind the second choice in his penultimate run. He is 3kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

Race 6

DAMOVA ran a good race when second over 2850m at Turffontein last time. She raced from a handy position but found one too good in the form of Enflame. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. She won her only attempt over this C&D. The 7yo mare may be the one to side with.

ROMEO‘S MAGIC finished 3.05 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today which is not enough for the tables to be turned.

ROYAL MAZARIN produced a typical second run after a rest last time. He has won once, finished second twice and third once from nine starts over this C&D. He will be cherry-ripe and is a solid back-up for the Joe Soma stable.

Race 7

STOP THE TRAFFIC has good recent form lines to his credit. He stayed on when third over this C&D last time. The 5yo gelding drops back in class and if this run has not come too soon, he can notch up his third-career victory.

STEP INTO IT made the expected natural improvement when winning his maiden over 1600m on the Turffontein Inside course. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from the widest draw. The son of Elusive Fort takes on stronger, but he should love the rise to 2000m and has plenty of scope.

FLAG BEARER is better than his last start over 1600m on the straight course. The 7yo gelding runs well for 4kgs claiming apprentice Girish Samo-Burthia. On best form shown, he may be hard to peg back.

Race 8

SILENT WAR is better than his last start over 1450m. He finished 3.25 lengths behind HAWKBILL in his penultimate outing. He is 4kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Gavin Lerena is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

HAWKBILL should have finished closer last time as the saddle slipped in running. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. It is encouraging that Craig Zackey steps back into the saddle and he is a massive runner.

KING‘S EXPRESS was squeezed leaving the start last time, but stayed on to finish second. He finished 2.75 lengths behind the second choice in his penultimate run. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer
