Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Saturday 22nd August where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge
Race 1
AFRICAN WILD DOG was a beaten odds-on favourite over 1400m on the Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Winter course last time. He set the pace, tried hard before getting caught late. The son of Querari should enjoy the drop to 1250m and from his good draw of three, he can shed his maiden tag.
RABDAN ran a fair race over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. He returns from a 14-week break, during which time he was gelded. If not in need of the run, he should give a good account of himself.
THE BIG BANG is better than his last start over 1500m. It must be noted that Royal Influencer has come out and won again since. He drops back in distance and on his previous form, he cannot be discounted.
Race 2
LANDMAN cost himself leaving the starting stalls last time. His debut effort when second over 1000m on this course was eye-catching. The son of The United States should love the rise to 1600m. If getting away on terms, he may redeem himself.
HAVOC stayed on when second over 1500m on this course last time. It must be noted that Royal Influencer has come out and won again since. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
WATERFRONT was running on after a slow start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. Ashton Arries rides and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
Race 3
BLIND DATE is a winner of his last two starts, the latest of which was over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. He gets the services of 2.5kgs claiming Apprentice Dezahn Louw which will assist his cause. He is likely to race on the pace, may be hard to peg back and can notch up the hat- trick.
SOHO HEARTTHROB fought hard for his last victory over this C&D. He finished 0.45 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate outing. He is 2.5kgs worse off at the weights and may have to settle for the same result.
IN A TIMELY MANNER finished 0.4 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.
Race 4
MORDECHAI made the natural improvement when winning his maiden over this C&D. He raced from just off the pace, moved up and fought hard all the way to the line. The son of Hawwaam takes on stronger, but he has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.
AVIGNON showed speed when winning his last start over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. He received a five-pound penalty for that victory. 2.5kgs claiming Apprentice Dezahn Louw retains the ride and the combination merit healthy respect.
SHIFTING PATH finished 2.25 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
Race 5
BLACK NIGHTSHADE ran a good race when fourth in the Listed Irridescence Stakes last time. The manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. The daughter of Hawwaam won on debut over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. She looks to have some class about her and may be the one to beat.
SPARKLING STAR was an easy winner when shedding her maiden tag over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. She returns from a 14-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. She has scope and should give a good account of herself.
PACIFIC WATERS finished 1.55 lengths behind FINAL CALL last time. She is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough to turn the form around.
Race 6
CATWALK KING is better than his last start in the Grade 3 Langerman. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He won the Listed Somerset 1200 in his penultimate effort. The son of Buffalo Bill Cody has class about him and if putting his best foot forward, he should go close.
BEHAVE HARRIS was running on when third over this C&D last time. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. With a bit of luck in running, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
VERCICAT was running on when second over 1200m last time. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. The son of Vercingetorix takes on stronger, but he has plenty of scope and can finish in the placings.
Race 7
LOVING PRAGUE finished 2 lengths behind FORT YUKON last time. He is 4kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough to turn the form around. 2.5kgs claiming Apprentice Dezahn Louw is booked to ride. He should get a good run in transit from Barrier Two and has a solid winning chance.
FORT YUKON has good consistent form to his credit. He set the pace over this C&D last time before getting outrun late. Craig Zackey rides and he may be able to get the best out of him.
DEVIL A SAINT was touched off in his last start over this C&D. He does step back up in class, but Sean Veale keeps faith in the ride and the combination merit obvious consideration.
RACE 8
LADY VERITAS set the pace over 1500m on this course last time, found another kick and drew off in the closing stages. She received a three-pound penalty for that victory. The daughter of Legislate meets a similar field and can follow up.
BOOZY SUSIE finished 1.25 lengths behind the top selection last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
AMAYAH is better than her last two starts as she was reported to be not striding out. The daughter of Vercingetorix is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D. She will strip much fitter and can find a form return
