Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Sunday 23rd August where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge

Race 1

ENJOY THE RIDE relished the drop back to 1000m on the polytrack last time. He cost himself winning that day as he hung outwards in the straight. The son of Real Gone Kid should enjoy racing on the turf over this trip. If this outing has not come too soon, he can shed his maiden tag.

BARRY’S BOY has improved in his last three starts on the polytrack. He raced from just off the pace last time and rallied late to finish second. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

A M C ROY ON FIRE ran a fair race on debut over 1200m on this course. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. The son of Willow Magic would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he can feature.

Race 2

MAD ABOUT YOU was not beaten far on debut over 1100m on this course. She took time to find her feet but stayed on at the finish. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. The daughter of Malmoos would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should be competitive.

SISTERSHIP hails from the visiting Alec Laird stable. She returns from a lengthy 56-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. If not in need of the run, she should pose a threat.

ANNIVERSARY ran a fair race on debut over 1200m on the polytrack. She lost a length leaving the start and stayed on at the finish. If getting away on terms, she can improve to finish in the placings.

Race 3

LADY JEROME ran a fair race over 1100m last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. The manner in which she finishes off her races suggests that she will love the rise to 1400m. With luck in running, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

MAGICAL SPRING is better than her last start as the jockey reported something to be amiss in running. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. On the form of her penultimate run, she should go close.

PERIWINKLE produced a promising debut effort when third over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. The daughter of Skitt Skizzle would have gained from the experience and if switching off early, she should make the natural progression.

Race 4

CELTIC MOON should have finished closer to the winner over 1200m last time. The daughter of Erik The Red will love the rise to 1400m. She should get a good run in transit from pole position. She is a filly with scope and Calvin Habib may be able to get the best out of her where it matters most.

PREDATOR‘S CROWN was a beaten odds-on favourite over 1000m last time. The daughter of New Predator is having her peak run and steps up to 1400m. If keeping on a straight line, she should go close.

TEARS OF THE SUN was a tad disappointing over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. She finished second over this C&D in her penultimate run. On the form of that effort, she should fight out the finish.

Race 5

LICENCE TO THRILL stayed on when fourth over this C&D last time. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. All six of his career victories have come over this track and trip. If putting his best foot forward, he may be the one to beat.

SOHO STAR has produced two fair efforts since returning from an 11-week break. He has won three times, finished second four times and third once from nine starts over this C&D. He will be at peak fitness and is one of the leading contenders.

INFINITY EDGE should have finished closer to the winner in her comeback run. She will strip much fitter and with luck in running, she can finish in the placings.

Race 6

FIRE CHIEF was not beaten far in the Listed Ridgemont Gatecrasher Stakes last time. He returns from an 11-week break, during which time he would have strengthened up. Apprentice Dezahn Louw takes the 2.5kgs off his back which will assist his cause. The son of Fire Away should be ideally suited to this distance and if fit, he may be the one to beat.

LUNELUCK stayed on when third over 1000m last time. It must be noted that Blazing Fury has come out and won again since. He will be at peak fitness and can go close.

AZZURRI showed speed over this C&D last time and stayed on to finish second. The son of Pomodoro runs well for Callan Murray and the combination cannot be discounted.

Race 7

BEYOND ALL DOUBT was running on when third over 1400m on this course last time. The son of The United States would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. He will love the rise to the mile. He has class about him and from his good draw of four, he can notch up his second-career victory.

UZWANO cost himself winning last time as he hung inwards in the final 200m. He has won three times, finished second once and third once from eight starts over this C&D. He has cracked a good draw of two and if not too far out of his ground turning for home, he should fight out the finish.

DOWN BY THE RIVER took his chances in the Grade 3 Betgames Cup Trial last time. The 11-week break would have done him the world of good. He drops back in class and on best form shown, he would not be a shock winner.

Race 8

IDEAL SUMMER showed good signs of a form return when fifth over this distance at Turffontein last time. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. He has dropped to a competitive rating and if all went well with his travels, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

CHARLIE BUCKET followed up his maiden win with an equally impressive victory over this C&D. He is having his first outing for the Justin Snaith stable. The son of One World is in a good space and can notch up the hat-trick.

MASTER BOMBER finished 2.2 lengths behind the second choice last time. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights which is enough to turn the form around. However, CHARLIE BUCKET won easier than the official margin suggests and may still have the upper hand
