Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Sunday 4th October where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge

Race 1

CAPTAIN’S LASS has only had the two runs to date, finishing fifth on debut over the minimum trip and then showing the expected improvement to end up in second place next time out over the same C&D. She gets a handy draw four and champion jockey Craig Zackey retains the ride.

NADIA NERINA also improved on her first outing over 1000m when finishing fifth behind Stealth. She is drawn two along from the top choice and Richard Fourie jumps back on board.

NANNIE GOLD showed plenty of toe before being run out of it late to finish third last time over 1200m, 4.65L behind the winner and she should apprecia- te the drop in distance.

Race 2

AFRICAN WILD DOG has finished second in his last four starts and is knocking on the door.

LET’S CELE– BRATE lost a couple of lengths at the start when making his debut. He would have come on further with that run under the belt and despite being drawn widest in gate eleven, he should be right up there when they hit the line.

VELORIAN KING raced green when finishing sixth on debut, 4.5L behind the victor. He would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should keep the top two picks honest.

Race 3

CONFIRMED started at a big price when finishing fourth on debut over this C&D, 1.55L behind the victor. He faces a wide draw ten, but he would have come on with that run under the belt and could win at the second time of asking.

COSMIC DAN improved to finish fourth second time out over a mile, 3.5L back from the winner. He is drawn one inside the top selection and if he has continued down the same path of improvement, he should be involved in the finish.

BIG DEAL battled all the way down to the line when finishing fifth, 2.45L back from the victor and a repeat of that effort should make him competitive.

Race 4

The day’s best bet, READY FOR THE ROAD has consistent form lines to his credit and followed up his penultimate run victory with a good second place finish over the same journey, but he did jump awkw- ardly that day. From his useful draw four and having 4kgs removed from his allocated weight, he may prove hard to topple.

GOLD INDEX is seldom far off the action, finishing third last time out over this C&D, 1.5L back from the winner. He is drawn one inside the former and could emerge as the bigg- est danger.

RUN FOR COVER finished second in the same race mentioned above, but he is 2kgs worse off at the weights and may battle to turn the form around.

Race 5

A 5yr old mare and a 4yr old filly could fight out the finish to this race and complete the exacta, but PINK PIGEON is taken to lead the field home. She has finished second in her last four starts, the latest over this C&D, 0.4L behind the winner. She is re-united with Richard Fourie and will be hoping to go one better today.

MUSIC OF THE NIGHT has won two of her last four starts and followed up her penultimate start win over 1200m with a second place finish next time out over 1250m, 0.2L back from the winner.

OLIVER ran on powerfully from some way back to finish fourth in his latest outing over 1250m, 1.65L behind the winner, but he did win his only start over this trip, so the drop in distance should not present an issue, ROYAL TIARA is a 3yr old filly who finished third in her latest start over 1600m, four lengths back from the victor. She returns from a 10 week rest and drops in trip, but will have Craig Zackey on board to aid her cause.

Race 6

AXIS POWER has finished second in his last two starts, the latest over this C&D, 0.4L behind the winner. He is a speedy sort who was only nabbed late that day and with 4kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice, he may probe hard to catch over the latter stages.

BLACK ERIKA is a 4yr old filly bumping males, but she was only run out of it late when finishing fifth in her latest outing over 1250m, 2.3L behind the winner and on that effort, she will enjoy the drop in trip.

MOODY BLUE showed marked improvement to win his last start over 1000m by 0.75L and was immediately rested for 12 weeks. He returns here and if able to confirm that last effort, he should be a big runner here, jumping from pole position and getting the services of a 2.5kgs claiming apprentice.

Race 7

SOUTH OF FRANCE has consistent formlines to her name, having won two of her last three starts, albeit the latest by just a short-head, she has cracked pole position and will be looking to chalk up her fourth career victory.

ROSE WOOTT is another who has won two of her last three outings, the latest over 1600m by 0.4L. She drops in trip, but the blinkers remain on and she should be a big runner once again.

OVER MY SHOULDER won by 1.0L when making her debut over 1200m and steps up to 1400m today. She would have learnt from that experience and with natural improvement and a cozy draw two, she could go two for two.

RACE 8

CORK BAY is seldom far off the action, finishing second last time out over 1250m, one length back from the winner. He gets a set of blinkers removed for the first time and if this move has the desired effect, he should be a big runner here, notwithstanding a wide draw ten.

UNITED FRONT followed up his penultimate run victory over this C&D with a third place finish next time out over the same journey, 0.4L back from the winner. He finished off his race smartly that day and from a cozy draw four and Keagan De Melo retaining the ride, he could chalk up his third career victory.

DEVIL A SAINT has finished second in five of his last six outings, the latest over 1600m, 0.5L back from the winner. He will have 2.5kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice and he should put his pole position to good use
