Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Sunday 6th September where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge

Race 1

LE SOLEIL was in need of his debut effort over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. He returns from a 15-week break, during which time he would have strengthened up. The well-bred son of Vercingetorix gets the services of Richard Fourie. Unless one of the first timers have ability, he may be the one to beat.

THE BIG BANG took a keen hold in his last start over 1500m and turned for home in a wide position. It must be noted that Royal Influencer has come out and won again since. The son of One World will enjoy the drop back to 1250m and is one of the leading contenders.

FINE SILVER is an unraced son of Futura from the Justin Snaith stable with JP van der Merwe in the saddle. He is related to multiple Grade 1 winner One Stripe. If not in need of the experience, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to him and the other unraced entrants.

Race 2

GUNNER GALACTICO lost a length leaving the start on debut, took time to find his feet but stayed on to finish third. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. He returns from an 11-week break, during which time he would have strengthened up. If not too green around the turn, he may be the one to beat.

ROYAL CLINTON showed speed over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time, and tried hard all the way to the line. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

SARATOGA SUNRISE was a tad disappointing in his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. On the form of his penultimate run, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 3

VERSE FOR SUZANNE is the top bet on the programme. She produced a promising debut effort over 1250m on this course. She lost a length leaving the start, but finished off her race strongly. The well-bred daughter of Vercingetorix would have gained from the experience and should love the rise to 1400m. With the natural improvement that is expected, she should take a power of beating.

WHAT THE FLUFF raced from a handy position over this distance last time, but found one too good in the form of Odds And Evens. If confirming her recent improvement, she may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

DESERT ICE was in need of her debut effort over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. She would have come on from the run and should enjoy the rise to 1400m. With the natural progression that is expected, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 4

VIVA LA VIDA took her chances in the Listed Ladies Mile last time. She raced from a handy position but found one too good in the form of Stormwatch. She returns from an 18-week break which would have done her the world of good. She won her only attempt on this course. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight is suited to this distance and if fit, she may be the one to beat.

MENTE ET MANU was caught late in his last two starts over this distance. He has won three times and finished third once from five starts on this course. Richard Fourie steps back into the saddle and he is one of the leading contenders.

IT IS MY TIME finished 0.5 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.

Race 5

Trainer Paul Reeves holds a strong hand in this contest. TYPICALLY FRENCH ran on from last when 1.25 lengths behind LOVERS LANE last time. He is 5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough to turn the form around. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field once again and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

OZARK finished 2.35 lengths behind LOVERS LANE in the race referred to above. He is 5.5kgs better off at the weights today and should turn the tables.

JET A ONE has fair consistent form to his name. He should have finished closer to the winner against stronger company last time. The son of Erupt takes a drop in class and Kabelo Matsunyane may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

Race 6

Trainer Piet Botha holds a strong hand in this contest and can saddle the first two past the post. GIN PALACE tried hard when second over this distance on the Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Winter course last time. 2.5kgs claiming Apprentice Dezahn Louw retains the ride and with luck from her awkward draw, she can go one better.

EISTEDDFOD finished 2 lengths behind the top selection last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and she should finish closer as a result. Keagan de Melo is booked to ride and he may be able to get the best out of her.

KITUBA followed up her maiden victory with a good third-place finish over 1500m on this course. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She will enjoy the drop back to 1400m and must be included in all bets.

Race 7

PHANTOM MAN finished 2.35 lengths behind GOLD INDEX last time. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights and should turn the form around. He has won once, finished second once and third once from four starts over this distance. He is likely to get his own way in front from pole position and may be hard to peg back.

RUN FOR COVER finished 2.05 lengths behind GOLD INDEX last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights and should turn the tables if confirming his recent improvement.

GOLD INDEX showed a good turn of foot when winning his last start over 1800m on the Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Winter course. He received a five-pound penalty for that victory. He has cracked a good draw of four and with Richard Fourie back in the saddle, he can follow up.

RACE 8

STAR WORLD was running on when third over this distance on the Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Winter course last time. She has won twice, finished second once and third twice from six starts over this C&D. The daughter of One World is having her peak run and if keeping on a straight line, she can return to winning ways.

TOO FAST TO FIESTA took her chances in the Grade 2 Amusnet Golden Slipper last time. She won a good race when shedding her maiden tag over 1200m in her penultimate outing. She is a filly with scope and if taking to this course, she should be involved.

FINAL CALL‘S last two starts have been good. She received a bump leaving the start over this C&D last time, but stayed on to finish second. The daughter of What A Winter is in a good space and merits healthy respect.

RACE 9

WORLD SERIES was doing his best work late when third in the Grade 2 World Pool Bet With The Tote Umkhomazi Stakes last time. The son of One World returns to the Western Cape and is a classy individual. He is having his first run on this course and if not in need of the outing, he should be the horse to close off the meeting.

WITCH HAZEL was running on when third over 1400m on the Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Winter course last time. He won his penultimate outing over this C&D. With a bit of luck from his awkward draw of eight, he should pose a threat.

FIERY ROSE is unbeaten in two starts for the Vaughan Marshall stable. She returns from a well-deserved 16-week break and is having her first run in Cape Town. The daughter of Fire Away clearly has ability and if fit, she should give the males a run for their money.
