Winning Form selections for Fairview on Sunday 18th October where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

RACE 1

This is a weak Maiden Plate and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is TOTAL ERUPTION from the Zietsman Oosthuizen yard. She raced from a handy position over 1400m last time and stayed on to finish third. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. If repeating that effort in this field, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

MONKEY’S WEDDING has finished third in his last three starts. He finished second in his only attempt over this distance. Should the top choice fluff her lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces. He is carded to race on 16 October 2026 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

DIGITAL WARFARE showed improvement when third over 1600m last time. The manner in which he finished off his race that day suggests that he will enjoy the extra furlong on offer. The son of Declarationofpeace would not be a shock winner.

RACE 2

NANNIE GOLD hails from the visiting Glen Kotzen stable. She tried hard when second over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. The daughter of Gold Standard will strip much fitter and if all went well with her travels, she can go one better.

PRINCESS CHANTE made the expected natural improvement when second over 1000m on this course last time. The daughter of William Longsword should enjoy the rise to 1200m and is one of the leading contenders.

GIMMETHEBEATBOYS is an unraced daughter of Gimmethegreenlight from the Alan Greeff stable with Richard Fourie in the saddle. She is related to 12-time winner Anotherdanceforme. If not in need of the experience, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.

RACE 3

SPORTS FAN did not go on with the effort over 1200m on the polytrack last time. She has won twice, finished second once and third once from five starts over this C&D. She meets the right field and with Richard Fourie in the irons, she can notch up her fourth-career victory.

INSTAWORTHY was not beaten far when fifth over 1200m on the polytrack last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. Apprentice Wilmien Fourie takes the 4kgs off, and she should pose a threat.

VENTURA BOULEVARD found one too good in the form of All Systems Go last time. She was an easy winner on debut over this C&D. The daughter of Heavenly Blue has plenty of scope and with just 52kgs to shoulder, she should be competitive.

RACE 4

ANUSCHKA‘S WORLD won his last start over 1200m on the polytrack easier than the official margin suggests. He finished 0.1 lengths behind DANISH DYNAMITE in his penultimate outing. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights which should be enough to turn the form around. He will love the return to the turf and may be the one to side with.

DANISH DYNAMITE showed speed when winning the Non-Black Type Betway Speedsters Stakes last time. She has won twice and finished second twice from as many starts over this C&D. She is in a good space and merits healthy respect.

U S RANGER is better than his last start in the Grade 2 World Pool Bet With Tote Umkhomazi Stakes. He returns from a 12-week break, during which time he was gelded. He is a horse with class about him and on previous form, he should go close.

RACE 5

ASTRONOMICAL BOY was given a peach of a ride when winning his local debut over 1200m on this course. The son of Gimmethegreenlight would have come on from the run and should enjoy the rise to 1400m. He is drawn widest, but is likely to be settled near the rear of the field and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

LOTUS SILK has good recent form to her name. She has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. If getting away on terms, she should give the males a run for their money.

KING VISERYS has good recent form to his name. He ran on strongly after a slow start over 1600m on the polytrack last time. He finished second in his only C&D attempt. The 6yo gelding should get a good run in transit from pole position and cannot be discounted.

RACE 6

MARCHLAND is the top bet on the programme. She is unbeaten from four starts to date. The daughter of Malmoos was super-impressive when winning the Grade 2 Douglas Whyte Thekwini Stakes over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. She returns from a 12-week break and makes her seasonal debut. She is loaded with class and despite taking on the males, she should take a power of beating.

GIMMETHATWORLDCUP was unlucky not to have won his last start over 1400m on the polytrack. He was an impressive winner over this distance, three runs ago. He should love racing on the turf and may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

FROM THE ISLAND hails from the visiting Justin Snaith stable. He was not disgraced when third in the Grade 3 Langerman last time. He returns from a 16-week break, during which time he was gelded. The son of Royal Mo has scope and must be considered.

RACE 7

ANOTHERDANCEFORME won her last start in the Betway Friendly City Stakes easier than the official margin suggests. The daughter of Master Of My Fate won her only attempt over this C&D. She is unbeaten from 12 starts in the Eastern Cape and from her handy draw of five, she should keep that record intact.

BAD MEDICINE was caught late when second over 2200m on the polytrack last time. He won a good race over this C&D in his penultimate outing. The son of Vercingetorix is unbeaten from four starts on this course and merits healthy respect.

Last year’s winner, ZATARA MAGIC comes off a creditable third-place finish behind the top choice. He is 1.5kgs better off for a 4.75 length beating. The 7yo gelding is likely to get his own way in front and he may be hard to peg back.

RACE 8

ASINANTANGA caught the eye when winning his last start over this C&D. He turned for home at the rear of the field and finished strongly to get up where it matters most. The son of Rafeef would have come on from the outing. Callan Murray is likely to adopt the same tactics from his wide draw and the combination will be mowing down the frontrunners.

FANTINE has good consistent form to her name. She found one too good in the form of stable companion, Kleinzee last time. Richard Fourie is likely to use her early gate speed to overcome the wide draw and she may be hard to peg back.

HALF MOON ISLAND showed a good turn of foot to win his last start over 1400m on the polytrack. He is a horse with issues and returns from a 17-week break. However, he has ability and should give a good account of himself.

RACE 9

EL CANTO DREAM received a bump leaving the start over 1200m on the polytrack last time, but finished off his race strongly. He has won once and finished third once from four starts over this distance. The son of Oratorio will strip much fitter and from his good draw of four, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

MADRA RUA kept finding to shed his maiden tag over 1300m on the polytrack. That was his first start for the Dean Smith stable. He takes on stronger, but would have gained in confidence and should be up to the task at hand.

FORTUNE ONE is better than his last start over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He has dropped in the ratings and can improve to finish in the placings
