Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Greyville on Friday 24th April where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge
Race 1
PALACE OF ARVERNIA is an unraced daughter of Vercingetorix from the Dean Kannemeyer stable with Craig Zackey in the saddle. She is related to Grade 1 winner Grand Empire. If not in need of the run, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.
SEI BELLA has shown improvement in each of her outings to date. She is fitted with the cheekpieces for the first time which should keep her mind on the task at hand. She may be the first raced runner past the post.
WILLOW VALLI finished 0.25 lengths behind the second choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms and there should not be much separating them at the finish.
Race 2
PEACE ROSE has finished third in all three efforts to date. She should have finished closer to the winner in her comeback run as she was awkwardly placed at the 300m mark. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Querari will strip much fitter and with luck in running, she may be the one to beat.
PEACH MELBA is better than her last start as she was reported to be not striding out. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. If finding the form of her penultimate run, she should pose a threat.
TIPPERARY is still a maiden after 27 starts. On best form shown, she can earn another cheque.
Race 3
PRIZED POSSESSION produced a promising debut effort over this C&D. He understandably raced green, but the manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging. The son of Vercingetorix would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he may be the one to beat.
BISON WARRIOR found one too good in the form of Tommy Greaney last time. The son of The United States is a progressive type and should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
KIARTAY returns from a 15-week break, has been gelded and is having his first run for the Tienie Prinsloo stable. He showed promise in his first outing over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. The son of Erik The Red has scope and would not be a shock winner.
Race 4
GOLD GOLD BABY’S last two starts have been good. She was outrun late when third over 1800m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. The daughter of Gold Standard is drawn in pole position and if taking to this course, she can shed her maiden tag.
BAI YULU was running on when third on debut over 1600m on this course. The daughter of The Apache would have come on from the run and should love the rise to 1900m. With the natural improvement that is expected, she should pose a threat.
CALI BULLET has finished third in her last two starts, the latest of which was over 1800m on the polytrack. She is drawn widest of all, but Craig Zackey should give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
Race 5
TOBACCONIST lost a length leaving the start over 2000m on this course last time, but stayed on to finish third. The son of Flower Alley has cracked a good draw of three and if getting away on terms, he can notch up his fifth-career victory.
HODGEPODGE was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over this C&D. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She is in a good space and can follow up with another victory.
OUR LADY FATE finished 2.3 lengths behind the second selection last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights and should finish closer as a result.
Race 6
JOHNNY THE THIEF finished off his race well when third over 1400m on this course last time. He has won once and finished second once from three starts over this C&D. The son of Time Thief will strip much fitter and if not too far out of his ground turning for home, he can return to winning ways.
CONTINENTALEXPRESS has good consistent form to his credit. He was outrun late when third in the Non- Black Type WSB Highland Night Cup last time. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
GO GRAYSON GO tried hard when second over 1950m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. The son of Potala Palace is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back.
Race 7
SILVER SALUTE won her last start over this C&D easier than the official margin suggests. She received a three-pound penalty for that victory. The daughter of Vercingetorix is in a good space and can follow up with another victory.
GRAND OCCASION held on where it matters most when winning her last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. The daughter of Danon Platina is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D. If not in need of the run, she can keep that record intact.
BLUE POPPY finished 6.6 lengths behind the top choice last time. She has cracked pole position and on best form shown, she would not be a shock winner.
Race 8
QUEUE WING set the pace over this distance on the polytrack last time and stayed on at the business end. Five of his eight career victories have come on this course. He gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Anaas Mosaheb which will assist his cause. He should get a good run in transit from barrier two and may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
KANAAL SKATER is better than his last start over 1400m. The son of One World is unbeaten from two starts over this distance. With a bit of luck from his wide draw, he should pose a massive threat.
SUNDANCE KID has finished second in his last three starts. He is at his best on the polytrack surface, but tries hard and cannot be discounted.
Race 9
TAKE YOUR PLACE has fair recent form to her name. She should have finished closer to the winner in her last two starts as she has hung inwards in the final 250m. The daughter of Bezrin takes a drop in class and Serino Moodley is booked to ride. If all goes according to plan, she can return to winning ways.
AMAFORT is a winner of her last two starts under 4kgs claiming Apprentice Divesh Ramkhalawon. The blinkers have done the trick on the daughter of Mambo In Seattle. She is in a good space and can notch up the hat-trick.
LOU LOU faced stronger in the Grade 3 Umzimkhulu Stakes last time. The daughter of Declarationofpeace is having her first run in a Handicap and would not be a shock winner from pole position
