The well-bred son of Vercingetorix would have gained from the experience and should love the rise to 1400m. He jumps from pole position and if not too green around the turn, he can go one better.
CATCH THAT KID caught the eye when fourth on debut over this C&D. He had to overcome a wide draw, was settled near the rear of the field and ran on well. The son of Real Gone Kid would have gained from the experience and with Gavin Lerena in the saddle, he should make the natural improvement.
HADRIAN‘S WALL did not settle in the early stages of his last start over this C&D, but he was not beaten far. Rachel Venniker retains the ride and if switching off early, he would not be a surprise winner.
Race 2
CRIMSON TYPHOON‘S last three starts have been good. She raced from a handy position over this C&D last time and stayed on to finish second. She meets the right field and Keagan de Melo may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.
NOCTAMBULIST finished 2 lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 3kgs worse off at the weights tonight and may have to settle for the same result. The booking of Richard Fourie is a big plus, and he may be the one to complete the exacta.
FUTURE PROSPECT set the pace over 1750m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time and stayed on to finish second. She is having her peak outing and should be cherry-ripe. She should get a good run in transit from Barrier Three and merits obvious consideration.

The son of Elusive Fort should have no issues with the rise to 1800m and with Richard Fourie aboard, he may be the one to side with.
VENCEDOR was given a well-timed ride when winning his last start over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. He is in a good space and merits healthy respect.
RECORD HIGH ran a fair race when fifth over 2000m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He has cracked pole position and can surprise.
Race 5
ZENA ROSE stayed on at the finish over 2200m on this course last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She finished third, beaten under a length, over this distance three runs ago. ESTEEMED was super-impressive when victorious in his comeback run after 69 weeks off the track. He showed a good turn of foot over 1200m and drew clear with ease. The classy son of Rafeef would have come on from the outing and will love the rise to 1400m. Richard Fourie makes the trip to KwaZulu- Natal to ride and from his good draw of four, he should take a power of beating.
MALMESBURY MISSILE took his chances in the Grade 1 HKJC Champions Cup last time. He has won twice and finished second once from four starts over this C&D. The son of Gimmethegreenlight drops in class and should find a form return.
THISISWHATITMEANS finished 1.5 lengths behind POSITION OF POWER last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights tonight and that should be enough to turn the form around. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from the widest draw and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
Race 7
KAAPSE KLOPSE tried hard when second over this distance on the polytrack last time, but found one too good in the form of Victor Rail. He has won three times, finished second once and third once from eight starts over this distance. He has cracked a midfield draw of five and with Gavin Lerena retaining the ride, he can go one better.
TRAFALGAR SQUARE is better than his last start as he kicked the back gates as the stalls opened. He has won over 1200m previously, but is ideally at his best over 1000m. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
FYFIELD LEGEND took his chances in the Listed TAB Casino Champion Juvenile Cup. He has finished second three times from four starts over this distance. The son of What A Winter has scope and in this line-up, he can finish in the placings.

SUMMER WINTER has good recent form to her credit. She raced from a handy position over this distance on the polytrack last time, but found one too good in the form of Billy Cool. She has won twice, finished second five times and third once from 13 starts over this distance. With luck in running, she may be the one to beat.
MAGICAL SKY finished 0.6 lengths behind the top selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms tonight and there should not be much separating them at the finish.
RUBY RISING challenged strongly over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time, but found one too good in the form of Arverni Princess. Gavin Lerena does duty this evening and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.
