Winning Form selections for all of races from Hollywoodbets Greyville on Friday 4th September where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge.
Race 1
This is a weak Open Maiden for the girls and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is BLENHEIM PALACE from the Dean Kannemeyer stable. She was running on when second over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Fire Away will love the rise to 2000m and in this line-up, she is the horse to beat.
LILBITOFMONICA finished 6.3 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 10.5kgs better off at the weights today which is enough to turn the form around. However, she needs to confirm her recent improvement.
CHANTILLY LADY showed the natural improvement when sixth over 1400m last time. The daughter of Rabada is a progressive type and should love the rise to 2000m. Cole Dicken retains the ride and there may be more to come.
Race 2
DREADNOUGHT is the top bet on the programme. He was unlucky not to have won his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. The son of Gimmethegreenlight is coming along the right way. Gavin Lerena steps into the saddle and if all went well with his travels, he should take a power of beating.
DANNY ATLAS tried hard over 1400m on the polytrack last time, but was touched off by Nautical Fire. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The blinkers remain fitted and if seeing out the mile, he may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
MUSTANG HIGHWAY was running on when 1 length behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms this evening and he may have to settle for the same result. He is drawn widest of all which doesn’t do him any favours.
Race 3
TOBACCONIST should have finished closer to the winner last time as he was switched for running room at the 100m mark. He finished 1.4 lengths behind ZAGREB that day and is 1.5kgs better off at the weights. He finished second in his only attempt over this C&D. This is his peak outing and with Gavin Lerena in the saddle, he can notch up his fifth-career victory.
ZAGREB followed up his maiden victory with a good third-place finish over 1400m on this course. He finished third over this distance, three runs ago. He will be mowing down the frontrunners and is one of the leading contenders.
SONG TO THE MOON was a tad disappointing over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. The 6yo gelding has dropped slightly in the ratings and with Keagan de Melo in the saddle, he cannot be discounted.
Race 4
CAPTAIN‘S PRIDE finished 0.4 lengths behind RIKKITIKKITAVI last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights this evening and should turn the form around. She has won once and finished third once from three starts on this course. If getting away on terms, she can return to winning ways.
RIKKITIKKITAVI set the pace over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time and kept finding to hold all challengers at bay. She received a three-pound penalty for that victory. She would have come on from the run and can follow up.
SPIRIT OF SHIMLA was an easy winner of her last start over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. If getting her own way in front, she may be hard to peg back.
Race 5
TAYLOR‘S VERSION is better than her last start over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville, against stronger company. She finished third under 2.5kgs claiming Apprentice Dezahn Louw in her penultimate run. She drops back in class and in this line-up, she can return to winning ways.
OCOTILLO stayed on when sixth over 1600m on the polytrack last time. She is having her peak run tonight and should be cherry-ripe. The daughter of Querari has dropped in the ratings and she can improve to win.
ICEBERG ROSE was given a peach of a ride when winning her maiden over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of What A Winter takes on stronger, but she has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.
Race 6
SOHOT SOWHAT was given a well-timed ride when winning her last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. She won her only attempt over this C&D. The daughter of Soqrat runs well for Jockey Gavin Lerena and if not too far out of her ground turning for home, she can follow up with another victory.
MATCH THAT finished 1.3 lengths behind the top selection last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights this evening and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
MISS WORLD has good consistent form to her name. She was running on when fourth over this C&D last time. It must be noted that Maphaka has come out and won again since. If getting away on terms, she should be involved at the finish.
Race 7
WHO BLINKED was unlucky not to have won his last start over this distance on the polytrack. He set the pace before getting caught late by Bangkok Magic. He has finished second once and third twice from four starts over this C&D. Apprentice Anaas Mosaheb takes the 4kgs off his back and the combination may be hard to peg back.
KID FROM THE SOUTH followed up his maiden victory with a good second-place finish over 1100m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Real Gone Kid has plenty of scope and he should give a good account of himself.
SCOTS WAE HAE‘S last start is best ignored. He won a good race when shedding his maiden tag over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville in his penultimate run. The son of Malmoos has plenty of scope and with luck in running, he should produce a positive effort.
Race 8
SOVEREIGN GEM was a tad disappointing in her last start over 1200m on the polytrack. She finished third in her only attempt over this C&D. She has cracked a good draw of three and in this line-up, she may be the one to side with.
ANGEL‘S OASIS showed signs of needing her last start over 1000m on the Vaal Classic course. She would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. On her previous form, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
JAPURA took her chances in the Non-Black Type Race Coast Sales Slipper last time. She returns from a 21-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. Despite her big mass, she should give a good account of herself
