FUTURE PROSPECT was caught late when second over 2000m on the turf last time. Her record on this surface is a slight concern, but she can finish in the placings once again.
Race 2
VENCEDOR ran a good race when second over this distance on the turf last time. He won his penultimate outing over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. The son of Erupt is drawn in pole position and if reproducing his turf form in this field, he can notch up his third-career victory.
RAGNAR THE KING stayed on when third over 1600m on this course last time. The son of Danon Platina has dropped to a competitive rating and should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
THE WOLF produced a typical second run after a rest last time. He has won once and finished third twice from five starts over this C&D. He will be cherry-ripe and with luck in running, he can go close.
Race 3
HEAVENLY MAFIA finished 0.4 lengths behind PEACE ROSE last time. She is 4.5kgs better off at the weights today which is enough to turn the form around. She finished third in her only attempt over this C&D. She is carded to race on 18 September 2026 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.
PEACE ROSE followed up her maiden win with a good second-place finish over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. She would have come on from the run and will strip much fitter. The daughter of Querari has plenty of scope and merits healthy respect.
SPIRIT OF SHIMLA did not go on with the effort over 1400m on the turf last time. She has won once, finished second once and third once from four starts over this distance. Sean Veale is likely to use her early gate speed to overcome the awkward draw and she may be hard to peg back.

SPECIAL GLAMOUR is better than her last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. She raced wide around the turn without cover. Her three starts prior to that outing were good. If taking to the polytrack, she may be the one to side with in this line-up.
ONE PATH was touched off in her last start over this C&D. The fitting of the pacifiers seem to have done the trick. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, she should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
PRAISE DE LA REY finished 1.7 lengths behind the second selection last time. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result. She is having her peak run and will be cherry-ripe.
Race 5
PHUTULICIOUS found one too good in the form of Who Blinked over 1200m last time. He finished 1.75 lengths behind CHARA SANDS, four runs ago. He is 7kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough to turn the form around. There is speed on the inside which will suit and he should be mowing down the frontrunners.
B FIFTYTWO is a winner of his last two starts for the Kumaran Naidoo stable. It must be noted that the form of his last outing has been franked. He is in a good space and can notch up the hat-trick.
CHARA SANDS held on where it matters most to win his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. Six of his nine career victories have come over this C&D. He is in a good space and with luck in running, he can follow up.

ROYAL CREST stayed on when fourth over 1000m on the turf last time. She has won once and finished second once from as many starts on this course. She is having her peak run and should be cherry-ripe. Tristan Godden knows her well and she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
QHAWEKAZI showed signs of needing her last start over this C&D. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. On previous form, she should pose a massive threat.
IZIBULO is better than her last start as the jockey reported something to be amiss in running. On her previous form, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

MUSTANG HIGHWAY is the top bet on the programme. His last three starts have been good. The son of What A Winter is fitted with the blinkers which should keep his mind on the task at hand. Keagan de Melo rides and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
ROYALE JACKET has finished second in his last three starts. He has finished second on this course previously. The son of Ideal World may be the horse to fill the exacta spot.
