RABDAN took his place in the Listed JC le Roux Summer Juvenile Stakes last time. It must be noted that Red Spice has come out and won again since. The son of Pomodoro has scope and back in maiden company, he should be competitive.

ENTICEMENT lacked a strong finish when third over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. Her debut effort when second over this C&D was encouraging. The daughter of Erik The Red has scope and may be hard to peg back.
NOBODY’S PERFECT finished 4.65 lengths behind the top choice on debut. The daughter of Querari would have come on from the outing and should make the natural improvement.

If not in need of the run, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.

HEDRIVESMECRAZY tried hard when touched off into third over 1100m in a work riders contest last time. The son of Master Of My Fate meets the right field and he can shed his maiden tag.
SICILY ran on when third over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. He took on winners in his previous two efforts. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
AFRICAN WILD DOG took his place in the Non-Black Type Charles Dickens Stakes on debut. He returns from a 14- week break, during which time he was gelded. The son of Querari has plenty of scope and can show good improvement.

BLUE LAGOON moved up like a winner last time before getting touched off by Somebody Somewhere. The daughter of Erik The Red would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. She is a progressive type and can go one better.
BEFORE SUNRISE finished 1.75 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.
FUTURE RED has produced two good runs to date. The daughter of Futura has plenty of scope and with Richard Fourie back in the saddle, she should be involved at the finish.
Race 5
FORT RED was unlucky not to have won his last start over 1100m on this course. He stumbled leaving the start and was held up for a run at the 300m mark. The 8yo gelding is having his peak run today and will be cherry-ripe. 4 of his eight career victories have come over this C&D. With luck in running, he can win.
OZARK finished 1.9 lengths behind WINTER PEARL last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
WINTER PEARL won a game race over 1250m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. 4kgs claiming Apprentice Varun Jodhee takes the 4kgs off his back and the combination merit healthy respect.
Race 6
LARK’S SONG followed up her maiden victory with a good second-place finish over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. She moved up well before getting caught late by Amayah. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. The daughter of Querari drops back in class and she should take a power of beating.
ELEGANT NOBLE found one too good in the form of Tothemoonandback last time. He has won twice and finished third once from four starts over this distance. He is drawn widest of all, but gets the services of Richard Fourie who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
BACKINTHEFASTLANE has fair post maiden form lines to his name. He gets the blinkers fitted which should keep his mind on the task at hand. The son of Captain Of All will be mowing down the frontrunners.

LYRICAL GANGSTER tried hard when second over this C&D last time, but found one too good in the form of Flying Finley. The son of Gimmethegreenlight is having his peak run and should be cherry-ripe. 4kgs claiming Apprentice Varun Jodhee rides and the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.
WINTER PIRATE takes on older rivals. He was an easy winner when shedding his maiden tag over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. The son of What A Winter looks to have ability and may be up to the task at hand.
