Winning Form selections for racing from Turffontein on Sunday 19th April where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

Race 1

GATHERING WINTER showed speed over 1200m at the Vaal last time, but found one too good in the form of Ada Lovelace. She gets the services of capable work rider Tshepiso Matsoele. In this type of field, she can go one better.

DADS DREAM may not have seen out the 1400m last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of New Predator has scope and with the services of Phenisile Mongqawa, he should pose a threat.

WISPINTHEWILLOW finished 2.75 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms and she may have to settle for the same result.

Race 2

SHERIFF BILL BROWN showed some improvement when second over 1000m on the Vaal Classic course last time. He found one too good in the form of the well-supported Gimme Some Luck that day. The son of Buffalo Bill Cody should enjoy the rise to 1400m and in this field, he may be the one to beat.

ONE STATE returns from a 17-week break, during which time he was gelded. The son of One World steps up to 1400m and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he can show good improvement.

MEGA AWESOME had excuses on debut over this distance at the Vaal. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Rafeef would have gained from the experience and he should make the natural improvement.

Race 3

DOESYOURMOTHERKNOW is the top bet on the programme. She made the expected natural improvement when third over 1450m on the Inside course last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Master Of My Fate is a progressive type and if switching off early, she should take a power of beating.

IMPRESSIVE tried hard when third over this distance at the Vaal last time. The daughter of Erik The Red is coming along the right way and with Muzi Yeni in the saddle, she should be competitive.

ONWARD was in need of her debut effort over 1200m at the Vaal. The daughter of Malmoos would have gained from the experience and should love the rise to 1400m. Richard Fourie steps into the saddle, and she should make the natural improvement.

Race 4

SENDAI ran a good race when third over this C&D last time. The son of Danon Platina was reported to be distressed that day. He would have come on from the outing and if confirming the effort, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

NEBRASKA stayed on when third over 1450m on the Vaal Classic course last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

CRONUS finished 0.2 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.

Race 5

MISS RIVER DANCER has run two fair races to date. The daughter of Summa Cum Laude should enjoy the rise to 1400m. Apprentice Blaine Marx-Jacobson takes the 2.5kgs off her back and in this field, she can shed her maiden tag.

PURPLE RAIN showed good improvement in her last start over 1200m on the Vaal Classic course. She found one too good in the form of Hat’s Mambo that day. She is a progressive type and is one of the leading contenders.

GREENANDGOLD showed some improvement in her last start over 1200m at the Vaal. The manner in which she finished off that outing suggests that she will love the rise to 1400m. If getting away on terms, she may have more to come.

Race 6

KISSHOTEN was not disgraced when fourth in the Grade 1 TAB Empress Club Stakes last time. She is having her peak run today and will be cherry-ripe. The daughter of Erupt is best-weighted and she should give the males a run for their money.

PRESSONREGARDLESS is better than his last start in the Grade 1 Wilgerbosdrift H F Oppenheimer Horse Chestnut Stakes. His victory in the Listed 4Racing Wolf Power 1600 catches the eye. If putting his best foot forward, he should be competitive.

CHRONICLE KING won a good race over 1700m at the Vaal last time. He finished 2.3 lengths behind the second choice in his penultimate outing. He is 2kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the tables.

Race 7

KISSING MACHINE is better than her last start in the Listed Wilgerbosdrift Caradoc Gold Cup. She has won twice and finished second once from as many starts over this distance. It is encouraging that Muzi Yeni is booked to ride and she can return to winning ways.

FUTURE DATE finished 1.4 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.

FREE IN SEATTLE finished 2.7 lengths behind the top selection in the race referred to above. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights which is not enough to turn the form around, but she should finish closer as a result.

Race 8

SAND SCRIPT showed massive improvement when winning her maiden at the second time of asking. The daughter of Futura showed a good turn of foot that day. She will love the rise to 2000m and although taking on stronger, she can follow up with another victory.

ROSY LEMON was running on when second over 1800m on the Vaal Classic course last time. Two of her six career victories have come over this distance. The 6yo mare will be mowing down the frontrunners.

SPECIAL STAR finished 0.05 lengths behind the second choice last time. She is 1kg worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

Race 9

ORANGE COUNTY has some fair recent form lines to his name. He stayed on when fifth over 1600m at the Vaal last time. The son of Flower Alley may be ideally suited to this distance. He takes a drop in class and with 2.5kgs claiming Apprentice Jacey Botes back in the saddle, he can return to winning ways.

ROYAL ENGAGEMENT’S last two starts have been fair. The son of Potala Palace has ability and on best form shown, he would not be a surprise winner.

STORM AHEAD stayed on when fifth over 2000m on the Inside course last time. He finished 1.75 lengths behind the second choice in his penultimate outing. He is 0.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result
