Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Wednesday 8th July where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge

Race 1

TRIP TO VENUS showed improvement when fifth over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He is a progressive type and should love the rise to the mile. If getting away on terms, he may have more to come.

PUTTHELIGHTSOUT has fair form to his credit. He has been gelded which may have done the trick. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

ANATOLY cost himself winning last time as he hung inwards in the final 300m. The son of Chimichuri Run should love the rise to 1600m. If keeping on a straight line, he should fight out the finish.

Race 2

CHRISTMAS ROSE showed improvement when second over 1400m on the polytrack last time. She finished off her race strongly that day. The daughter of Fire Away will love the rise to the mile and she can go one better.

BLENHEIM PALACE has fair form to her name. The daughter of Fire Away may be at her best over further but if jumping on terms, she would not be a shock winner in this line-up.

SOHO CELEBRITY stayed on when sixth over 1400m on the polytrack last time. She returns from a 10-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. The daughter of What A Winter has scope and can finish in the placings.

Race 3

LENOXX did not go on with the effort over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. He was touched off in his penultimate outing over 1200m on this course. The son of Querari drops back to 1000m and may be hard to peg back.

TIGER CODY raced from a handy position over 1200m on the polytrack last time and stayed on to finish third. He will enjoy the drop back to 1000m and is one of the leading contenders.

MEKONG took her chances in the Grade 3 Tote Strelitzia Stakes last time. She returns from a 10-week break which would have done her the world of good. She is back in Maiden Company and with just 54.5kgs on her back, she should give the males a run for their money.

Race 4

REDOUBT EXPRESS produced a promising debut effort when third over this distance on the polytrack. He took time to find his feet but the manner in which he finished off his race was encouraging. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Rafeef would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

DEONARIE has produced two good runs to date. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he will love the rise to 1400m. From pole position, he should pose a massive threat.

CHARLIE BUCKET hails from the visiting Paddy Kruyer stable. He has good recent form to his credit. With a bit of luck from his wide draw, he should be involved at the finish.

Race 5

This is a weak Maiden Plate and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is FUTURE PROSPECT from the Andre Nel stable. She has fair recent form to her name. It must be noted that multiple horses from her last form line have come out and won since. Craig Zackey is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.

PEEPING TOM did not go on with the effort over this distance on the polytrack last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Elusive Fort should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

BOURBON’S BEAST did not go on with the effort over this distance on the polytrack last time. Apprentice Dezahn Louw retains the ride. With a bit of luck in running, he can earn another cheque for his patrons.

Race 6

SAXON DYNASTY is much better than his last start in the Listed Lonsdale Stirrup Cup. He won his penultimate outing over 1900m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. The son of Querari gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Anaas Mosaheb which will assist his cause. If switching off early, he can notch up his fourth-career victory.

SALANI KAHLE ran a good race when second in the Grade 2 TAB SA Derby last time. He returns from a 14-week break, during which time he would have strengthened up. The son of Master Of My Fate has class about him and if fit, he should be competitive.

HODGEPODGE was not disgraced when fourth in the Grade 3 Lucky Fish Winter Fillies Stakes last time. She has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this distance. She should give the males a run for their money.

Race 7

TUNGUSKA won a good race over 1950m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. He moved up well and found extra where it matters most. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. The son of Var is in a good space and can follow up.

BLIZZARDBOY has good recent form lines to his name. He moved up well in the Non-Black Type KZN Breeders 1900 last time, but lacked extra late. He is back on the turf and should fight out the finish.

HIGH QUEUE produced an encouraging comeback run over 1600m on the polytrack last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. He will love the rise to 2000m and should strip much fitter.

Race 8

DANCING ON A CLOUD was an impressive winner in his comeback run over this distance on the polytrack. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. The son of Lancaster Bomber would have come on from the outing. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field once again and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

TWILIGHT WARRIOR finished 1.3 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.

PONGOLA finished 1.65 lengths behind the top choice in the race referred to above. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights and should finish closer as a result. He is having his peak run today and will be cherry-ripe.

Race 9

YANNAKIS is a winner of his last two starts under Apprentice Divesh Ramkhalawon. He returns from a well-deserved 10-week break which would have done him the world of good. He has gone up in the ratings but is still in Class 5, and can notch up the hat-trick.

MUSIC IS LIFE stayed on when sixth over this distance on the polytrack last time. He takes a drop in class and on best form shown, he should pose a threat.

MASTER SILVANO stayed on when fourth over this distance on the polytrack last time. He finished third in his only attempt over this C&D. Sean Veale steps back into the saddle and he would not be a shock winner
