Winning Form selections for racing from the Vaal on Monday 4th May where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

Race 1

PRINCESS OF ALL is better than her last start over this distance at Turffontein. She returns from a 16-week break which may have done her the world of good. Her penultimate run when second behind Duchess Zahra, catches the eye. The daughter of Captain Of All meets the right field and if fit, she can shed her maiden tag.

EMPRESS WU is still a maiden after 21 starts. She has moderate form to her name. Tom Lukhele steps back into the saddle and she may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

BRIGHT COMET is an unraced daughter of Buffalo Bill Cody from the Fabian Habib stable with Tshepiso Matsoele in the saddle. She does not need to be a stable superstar to win in this field. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.

Race 2

BUFFALO KING CODY is the top bet on the programme. He showed speed over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time, but found one too good in the form of Green Energy. The son of Buffalo Bill Cody returns from a 12-week break, during which time he was gelded. He meets the right field and should take a power of beating.

HAMMER BLOW’S last two starts have been fair. He has finished third in all three of his efforts over this distance. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

ECOND TO NUNN ran an improved race when third over this C&D last time. The son of Gimmethegreenlight has scope and can finish in the placings.

Race 3

BRAVE WAAM ran a fair race in his first outing for the Tony Peter stable. The son of Hawwaam would have come on from the run and should strip fitter. He has scope and in this field, he may be the one to beat.

TIME HONORED returns from a 19-week break and is having his first run for the Mike and Mathew de Kock stable. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from the widest draw, and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

TREX ON FIRE is an unraced daughter of Captain Of All from the Robyn Klaasen stable with Phillip Mlangeni in the saddle. She is related to five-time winner Luthuli. If not in need of the run, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.

Race 4

LOLLY WILLOWES has good recent form to her name. She stayed on when fourth over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. She finished a short-head second over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course in her penultimate run. She meets the right field and can shed her maiden tag.

GATHERING WINTER has finished second in her last two starts. She steps up to 1450m and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she should pose a threat.

STELLA VICTORIOUS finished 2.25 lengths behind the second choice last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.

Race 5

TRAIL RUNNER ran a fair race over 1450m on this course last time. She won a good race over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course in her penultimate run. Samuel Mosia steps into the saddle and from pole position, she should be the one to beat.

TIME FOR CHARITY is better than her last two starts over 1000m. It must be noted that Time Is Precious has come out and won a Grade 3 since. She is carded to race on 30 April 2026 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.

NKANDLA GOLD finished 3.75 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights which is not enough for the tables to be turned. On the form of his penultimate run, he would not be a shock winner.

Race 6

MASTER BUDDY showed improvement when fourth over 1600m at Turffontein. The son of William Longsword is a progressive type and he can shed his maiden tag.

WINDING POWER has decent recent form to his name. He stayed on when third over 1600m on this course last time. The blinkers are re-fitted and he is one of the leading contenders.

ROYALE JACKET is still a maiden after 21 starts. He was disappointing in his last start over 1800m. He has finished second once and third once from as many starts over this distance. The son of Ideal World should be involved at the finish.

Race 7

NARETOI finished 0.1 lengths behind ZIP CODE last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He has won once, finished second once and third once from four starts on this course. From his good draw of four, he may be the one to beat.

ZIP CODE ran a fair race over 1800m at Turffontein last time. He finished second in his only attempt on this course. He has dropped in the ratings and would not be a surprise winner.

ARIOVISTUS tired late when fourth over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course last time. He finished second in his penultimate run on this course. Phenisile Mongqawa does duty and the combination should be involved.

Race 8

SKY PILLAR ROCK has had excuses in his last two starts. He has won twice, finished second twice and third once from seven starts on this course. The son of Fire Away has won under Savanna Valjalo previously. On best form shown, he may be hard to peg back.

SPACE MISSION stayed on when fourth over 1400m at Turffontein last time. He steps back up to the mile and with Chamu Mabaya in the saddle, he should go close.

APOSTROPHE stayed on when fourth over 2000m at Turffontein last time. The daughter of Futura won her only attempt over this C&D. She jumps from a good draw of two and should give the males a run for their money
