The second and final international rugby test between Argentina and Australia takes place in Mendoza on Saturday night and in terms of the series it’s the Wallabies who are 1-0 up.

Argentina:
Argentina went off as slight favourites (-1.5 points) for the first test in Jujuy last weekend but it was the Wallabies who claimed the series opener with a 27-21 victory. Los Pumas scored 3 of the 7 tries in the match through Geronimo Prisciantelli, Joaquin Moro and Boris Wenger all converted by Santiago Carreras but the Wallabies were in front from the 6th minute and never relinquished that lead.
Argentina took on South Africa in Buenos Aires on 8th August and they went down 17-10. The Boks scored 2 tries to Argentina’s 1 and late pressure from Los Pumas threatened to tie things up but they came up a touch short.
Argentina’s campaign in the recently launched Nations Championship began on a losing note when they were beaten 47-38 by Scotland in Cordoba. They did beat Wales 35-21 in Round 2, doing all the damage in the first half but next time out they went down 31-24 to England in Santiago. Los Pumas picked up 7 log points from those 3 matches which makes them fourth best in the South and already 8 points adrift of the Boks and All Blacks.
Australia:
Australia were supported in the early betting from +3.5 for the first test and they scored 3 tries in the first 19 minutes through Brandon Paenga-Amosa, Carter Gordon and Fraser McReight. After Los Pumas reduced the deficit early in the second half Tom Hooper’s 54th minute try rounded off the scoring. Ryan Lonergan landed two conversions and one penalty to maintain Les Kiss’s perfect start as the Wallabies coach. The total points line for the first test was 55.5 so “unders” backers collected
Prior to this series Australia played two against Japan. The opening test in Osaka saw them come through with a 35-32 victory in humid conditions. The teams then moved on to Townsville, Australia for the second test which was a much more one sided affair with the Wallabies scoring 7 tries in cruising to a 56-17 victory.
After this the Wallabies will host the Springboks in Perth on 27th September before they take on the All Blacks in the Bledisloe Cup.

Australia remain -4.5, with the total-points line steady at 55.5, which is where I got on yesterday.
I’m happy with my bet and won’t be getting further involved. In fact, I’m not even sure I’m going to make the game after enjoying a good few cold ones on the back of South Africa’s victory over the All Blacks.

2 units (1–5): Over 55.5 points at 10/11 with World Sports Betting
There has been money for the visitors, with Australia now -4.5 after opening at -1.5. The total-points line has also edged upwards to 55.5.
Conditions look set to be good and, having rewatched last weekend’s Test, I still have no idea how the overs failed to arrive.
I’m going to back a high-scoring match here and need 56 points or more.
