Chelsea 15/20 Draw 2.05/1 Aston Villa 37/10
Chelsea's 2-1 win at Leicester saw them finish the previous round in third spot, ahead of Arsenal and Brighton on goal difference, 1 point behind Man City and 9 shy of runaway leaders Liverpool. Home form has room for improvement with 2 wins, 3 draws and 1 defeat.
Villa have taken just 2 points from the last 12 available and have slipped to eighth, 3 points behind Chelsea in a congested league table. they have gone 7 without a win in all competitions. Their last 2 road trips saw them go down 4-1 at Spurs and 2-0 at Liverpool.
The Verdict
Chelsea haven't kept a clean sheet in any of their last 7 league games but Villa are out of sorts and could be up against it. Cole Palmer usually excels in home games in terms of goal threat and gets the vote to score anytime.
Bets: .Anytime goalscorer Cole Palmer at 15/10 with BoyleSports
Man United 0.57/1 Draw 31/10 Everton 52/10
United had to settle for a 1-1 draw at Ipswich last week, they did win in the Europa League in midweek but it was far from convincing and as far as the EPL standings are concerned they are just below half way.
Everton have drawn 3 of their last 4 alongside a 1-0 loss at Southampton and they have managed just 1 goal in that sequence. They finished the last round in fifteenth, 2 points clear of third bottom Ipswich
The Verdict
United will still be feeling their way under new management but I see them having enough to win this with a clean sheet to boot.
Bets: Home team to win “to nil” ? Yes at 17/10 with BoyleSports
Spurs 0.73/1 Draw 3.15/1 Fulham 7/2
Spurs put City away 4-0 in Manchester last week to move up to sixth. They lost their most recent home game 2-1 to Ipswich and over the course of the last 8 league games their record reads WWLWLWLW.
Fulham crashed 4-1 at home to improving Wolves last week and they are mid-table but only 1 point behind Spurs. Away from home they have 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats against their name.
The Verdict
Consistency has been a problem all season for Spurs but scoring goals generally hasn't and I'm with the hosts to register in both halves of football.
Bets: Home team score in both halves? (yes) at 23/20 with BoyleSports
Liverpool 12/10 Draw 2.45/1 Man City 24/10
Liverpool extended their lead over City in the title race to 8 points last week and they continued their relentless progress in all competitions with a home win over Real in the UCL in midweek. Other than a surprise defeat to Forest and a draw at Arsenal in earlier league games, they have been in the winners box on every outing.
City were all over the place in last weeks 4-0 home defeat to Spurs, a third straight loss in the league during which time they have conceded 8 goals and scored just 2. Throw in 2 recent UCL results, a 4-1 defeat at Sporting and 3-3 draw at home to Feyenoord (a game they led 3-0) plus an EFL Cup exit and we haven't seen them looking this vulnerable for years.
The Verdict
Coming into this game it's City who have all the questions to answer especially in defence. They simply can't afford another defeat in terms of the title race and their collapse in form, Rodri's injury aside, is hard to fathom out.
I'm battling to settle on a play here though and will just have a nibble at Liverpool to win 2-1.
Bets: Correct Score, Liverpool to win 2-1 at 87/10 with BoyleSports
