Another five English Premier League matches take place on Sunday and our focus is on Man United v Bournemouth and Spurs v Liverpool
Prices are correct at the time of publication but subject to change.
Manchester United 8/10 Draw 2.95/1 Bournemouth 32/10
United were involved in a hectic EFL Cup ¼ final away to Spurs on Thursday, they lost 4-3 and given they were 3-0 down at one stage they can have have few complaints. They return to league action after 2 late goals saw them turn the Manchester derby away to City around last weekend as they came out on top 2-1.
That wasn't enough to move into the top half of the table though and they finished the round in thirteenth position with 22 points.
A late equalizer rescued a 1-1 draw for Bournemouth at home to West Ham last weekend and they have now taken 10 points from the last 12 available. They have won their last 2 road trips at Wolves (4-2) and Ipswich (2-1) and they also won 3-2 at Everton earlier in the season. Bournemouth finished the previous round in sixth position although they are only 3 points better off than United.
The Verdict
Bournemouth are decent so this should be a good enough watch. Amad Diallo is finally flourishing at United and the sort of form he has been displaying earns him the anytime goalscorer vote at the most minimal of price boosts.
Bets: Anytime Goalscorer, Amad Diallo was 21/10 now 22/10 with Sportingbet
Spurs 32/10 Draw 34/10 Liverpool 7/10
Spurs kept their EFL Cup run going against United despite conceding some soft goals. Defence has been a concern and even more so in recent weeks when the bulk of the regular back line has been absent through injury. That didn't stop them winning 5-0 at Southampton last weekend, a much needed victory after they took just 1 point from the 3 previous league games.
Liverpool were 2-1 winners in their EFL Cup ¼ final at Southampton on Wednesday and they will meet Spurs again in the semi finals. They have drawn their last 2 league games, most recently 2-2 at home to Fulham, a game they played the majority of with 10 men after Robertson was sent off. Prior to that a late Newcastle equalizer saw them pegged back for a 3-3 draw and a scheduled derby at Everton was postponed. Liverpool finished the previous round 4 points clear of Chelsea at the top of the log with a game in hand and away from home they are unbeaten all season.
The Verdict
Anything is possible with Spurs but Liverpool are the benchmark when it comes to consistency. I see goals and Alexander-Arnold and Pedro-Porro are the picks to provide them.
Bets: Player total assists, Alexander-Arnold, 1 or more at 27/10 with Sportingbet
Player total assists, Pedro-Porro, 1 or more at 9/2 with Sportingbet
