Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Saturday 11th January where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge
Race 1
LOVE HER MADLY caught the eye when third in the Non-Black Type Flash Summer Coronation Plate on debut. She lost a length leaving the start, took time to find her feet and finished off her race strongly. The daughter of Captain Of All would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she may be the one to beat.
WHATASTAR produced an encouraging debut effort over this C&D. She raced from just off the pace, moved up before getting outrun late by Wild Wild Green. She would have come on from the run and is one of the leading contenders.
TAKE IT AS RED stayed on when fourth over this C&D on debut. She finished 0.9 lengths behind the second selection that day. There should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
Race 2
WAVE OF GLORY made the expected natural improvement when second over 1200m on this course last time. He showed good speed before getting outrun late by Heal And Soul. The son of Erupt is a progressive type and with Rachel Venniker taking the 1.5kgs off his back, he can go one better.
FLYING FINLEY has finished second in both his efforts to date. He should have finished closer to the winner last time as he hung inwards in the final 400m. Richard Fourie retains the ride and should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
KLEIN KAROO finished 0.3 lengths behind the second choice on debut. The son of Canford Cliffs would have come on from the run and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should go close.
Race 3
MISS WORLD should have finished closer in the Grade 3 WSB Southern Cross Stakes last time as the saddle was reported to have slipped. It must be noted that Asiye Phambili has come out and won a Grade 2 since. She has won once, finished second twice and third once from five starts over this C&D. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.
MAI SENSATION is better than her last start in the Grade 1 WSB Cape Fillies Guineas. She may be at her best over this type of distance at this stage of her career. If putting her best foot forward, she should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
KYALAMI GIRL won her last start easier than the official margin suggests. She has won once and finished second three times from as many starts over this C&D. The daughter of Querari is in a good space and merits healthy respect.
Race 4
SUMMER NIGHT CITY finished 0.3 lengths behind TOTHEMOONANDBACK last time. She is 3.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She has won twice, finished second twice and third three times from 12 starts over this C&D. From pole position, she may be the one to side with.
MELA STRENGTH took the lead at the 100m mark last time, before getting outrun late. He finished 1.05 lengths behind TOTHEMOONANDBACK in his penultimate run. He is 1kg better off at the weights and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
TOTHEMOONANDBACK faced stronger in his last start over 2000m. He has won twice from three starts over this C&D. His big mass of 64kgs is a concern, but he cannot be ignored in this line-up.
Race 5
HOODIA finished 0.3 lengths behind RULE OF THUMB last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He is drawn awkwardly in barrier eight and with a bit of luck in running, he can go one better.
KEBONALESEDI finished 0.85 lengths behind RULE OF THUMB in the race referred to above. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. He is having his peak run today and will be cherry-ripe.
RULE OF THUMB was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over this C&D. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. The son of Royal Mo meets a similar line-up and merits healthy respect.
Race 6
KAMCHATKA stayed on at the finish over this C&D last time, but found one too good in the form of Jet To The Sun. She is versatile and if holding her position from her good draw of three, she should be hard to peg back.
ENCHANTING CHOICE ran a good race when third over 1800m on this course last time. She is versatile and is one of the leading contenders.
GREEN ISLE finished 0.3 lengths behind the second selection last time. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. With luck from the widest draw, she should be right there.
Race 7
ROUGAROUIN was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over 1100m on this course. He moved up well and fought hard to hold all challengers at bay. He is in a good space and in this field, he can follow up with another victory.
PRINCE OF TIBET finished 0.4 lengths behind TRUE HORIZON last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
TRUE HORIZON rallied late when winning her last start over this C&D. She received a three-pound penalty for that victory. She should give the males a run for their money once again.
Race 8
TALK TO THE MASTER stayed on at the finish when sixth in the Grade 3 Cape Classic last time. He returns from a 10-week break, during which time he was gelded. He has won twice, finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. The Vaughan Marshall stable is in good form and if the son of Master Of My Fate is fit, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
RIVERSTONE should have finished closer to the winner last time as he was held up for a run between the 350m mark and 250m mark. He is having his peak run today and will be cherry-ripe. With a bit of luck in running, he should fight out the finish.
WAR CHARIOT finished 1.25 lengths behind the second choice last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
Race 9
SOOTY is much better than his last start suggests. He was drawn on the wrong side of the course and never got into the race. He had to overcome the widest draw in his penultimate run behind Kaiboy. The son of Pathfork has won once, finished second once and third twice from six starts over this C&D. He is drawn on the inside of the track and with Rachel Venniker taking the 1.5kgs off his back, he can cause the upset.
KELP FOREST was an easy winner of his last start over 1000m on this course. The blinkers seem to have done the trick. Grant van Niekerk retains the ride and the pair merit healthy respect.
FORT RED finished 4.2 lengths behind the second choice in his penultimate run. He is 4kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result
