Winning Form selections for all races from @Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Saturday 28th September where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge
Race 1
BOUNCEBACK showed good improvement when fourth over 1250m on this course, last time. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. He is a progressive type and should love the rise to 1400m. From his good draw of four, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
MR BELVEDERE took the lead at the 300m mark last time before getting caught late by On My Honour. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. With a bit of luck in running, he should go close.
CHIEF RUNNER should have finished closer to the winner on debut. He jumped awkwardly when leaving the start and hung in the final 500m. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. If all went well with his travels to the Western Cape, he should be competitive.
Race 2
SYMPHONY IN WHITE fought hard when third in the Grade 1 Allan Robertson Championship last time. It must be noted that Quid Pro Quo has come out and won a Grade 1 and 2 since. She returns from a 17-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. She has plenty of class and should be the one to beat.
KINDA WONDERFUL was an easy winner in the Listed Irridescence Stakes last time. She returns from a 14-week break and should have no issues with the drop to 1250m. She may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
GIMMETHATPEARL won a good race over this C&D last time. She does take on stronger, but may still be ahead of the handicapper and she should give a good account of herself.
Race 3
LOVE SHACK has good consistent form lines to her credit. She moved up like a winner over this C&D last time, but was outrun late. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. Despite carrying top weight, she should be the one to beat.
BE MERRY showed good speed when winning her last start over this C&D. The daughter of Lancaster Bomber takes on stronger, but she could be anything and may be up to the task at hand.
HEAR MY VOICE stayed on when fourth over this C&D last time. She finished 1 length behind the top choice in her penultimate run. She is 1kg worse off at the weights and may battle to turn the form around.
Race 4
O’TENIKWA dead-heated when winning his last start over 1000m on this course. The son of Vercingetorix will love the rise to 1250m. The obvious concern is his wide draw, but Corne Orffer knows him well and he should give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
AIR RAID returns from a 14-week break, during which time he was gelded. He followed up his debut victory with a good third-place finish. If not in need of this outing, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
MONUMENTAL finished 1.8 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.
Race 5
BATON ROUGE ran a fair race against stronger over 1800m on this course last time. It must be noted that Call To Unite has come out and won again since. The 4yo gelding takes a drop in class. Jockey Keanen Steyn is likely to use his early gate speed to overcome his awkward draw and the pair may be hard to peg back.
FIREFLARE challenged strongly when third over 2400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. He finished second in his penultimate run over this distance. If all went well with his travels to the Western Cape, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
FLY FUTURA showed signs of needing his comeback run over 1600m last time. He finished third in his only attempt over this distance. He will strip much fitter and must be included in all bets.
Race 6
BIG UNIT was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over 1400m on this course. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He has won twice and finished second once from four starts on this course. He will strip fitter and can follow up with another victory.
UNICORN ALERT finished 0.3 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today which is enough for the tables to be turned. However, his wide draw is a concern once again.
SONG TO THE MOON finished 0.8 lengths behind the top selection in the race referred to above. He is 1kg better off at the weights today. He is drawn widest of all and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
Race 7
GIMMIE’S COUNTESS is better than her last start in the Grade 2 Zulu Kingdom Explorer Golden Slipper as the jockey reported something to be amiss in running. She returns from a 12-week break which would have done her the world of good. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight has plenty of class and with a light mass of 51.5kgs, she should be the one to beat.
DIXIELAND BAND followed up her maiden victory with a good second-place finish in the Listed Irridescence Stakes. She carries a handy galloping mass of 51.5kgs and should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
GOLD POKER GAME stayed on when third in the Listed Jockey Club Stakes at Fairview last time. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. The 5yo mare should be the first older horse past the post.
Race 8
QUESTIONING won a good race in his last start over 1250m on this course. He raced from just off the pace, quickened up well and drew clear of the opposition. The son of Querari is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D. With a bit of luck from his wide draw, he should follow up with another victory.
ZAPATILLAS finished 3 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.
GIMME A PRINCE returns from a lengthy 51-week break. He has won twice and finished second twice from as many starts over this distance. If not in need of this outing, the Grade 1 winner should be involved at the finish.
Race 9
SURGE OF POWER finished 0.75 lengths behind MAURITIUS KESTREL in the Grade 3 Langerman last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The drop to 1250m is no concern and if suited to this course, he can return to winning ways.
MAURITIUS KESTREL showed good pace in the Listed Champion Juvenile Cup at Fairview last time, but found one too good in the form of Makazole. Richard Fourie is likely to use his early gate speed to overcome his wide draw and he may be hard to peg back.
SPEED RACER finished 0.1 lengths behind NIGHT BOMBER last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.
Race 10
BECKY SHARP is better than her last start over 1400m. She finished 1.3 lengths behind ON BOARD in her penultimate run. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. However, the daughter of Rafeef has cracked pole position which could make all the difference.
ON BOARD ran a good race when second over 1000m on this course last time. She will strip a much fitter horse today and is one of the leading contenders.
ROYAL LYTHAM is much better than her last start at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. She is back against her own sex and on her previous form, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest
