I was like a kid on Christmas Eve this time last week as I waited for Super Rugby to get going. 24 hours later I was like the kid who discovered there was no Father Christmas and worse still his parents were poor.

I called both the Blues and Highlanders handicaps but I fired far harder at the points lines including the Best Bet of over 57.5 in the Blues game. With 32 points on the board by the break I was patting myself on the back only for the 2^nd half to go horribly wrong.

Unders in the Ireland v Wales game clawed a bit back but it was my worst weekend in a long time as I signed off with a punt on France over 5.5 tries is that diabolical performance against Italy!

POINTS TO FLOW IN MELBOURNE?
Last years Super Round in Melbourne saw an average of 69 points per game and I think we could get plenty of tries this weekend.
I have premeditated a bet on Rebels overs despite watching them butcher chance after chance against the Brumbies and I am going to back them to score 32 or more this morning.
I won’t put you through that as a best bet though and will instead put up the Crusaders over 5.5 tries against the Waratahs.
The Saders have scored more than 40 points in 3 of their last 4 against the Waratahs and they put 52 points on the Highlanders in Melbourne last year. I don’t see 3 pointers coming into play and prefer over 5.5 tries marginally to the over 39.5 points on offer.
