The latest Goodforthegame newsletter penned by @BrentGraham with best bets for the weekend 16th to 18th August including the Rugby Championship and a 11/1 acca with @WorldSsportsBet
Last week was one of the best I have had in a while. The Sharks delivered on the -5.5 as highlighted in the Newsletter but the pivotal match for me was Bulls v Griffons. I had a proper go at Bulls over 8.5 tries and after countless butchering from the hosts I needed 3 in the final 11 minutes with the winner eventually coming deep into injury time.
I had no joy in the Rugby Championship (did anyone besides The Oracle see that Argentina win coming?) but fortunately, my stakes were lower and the Currie Cup did the business.
THE HANDICAP
I was joined by The Understaker and The Oracle last night and just as well because my signal was so bad (I suspect it might have something to do with my ancient laptop) I ended up dropping off the show to lurk in the studio and manage the comments and banners.
The lads had a great chat and below some short cuts
Jump to New Zealand v Argentina
Jump to Australia v South Africa
Jump to the Currie Cup
A BUMPER WEEKEND OF SPORT
There is plenty of great sport to look forward to including the big UFC title fight between our own Dricus Du Plessis and Israel Adesanya as well as the start of the Vuelta the 3rd and final Grand Tour of the year. Oh yes there is also the small matter of the EPL starting.
In that regard Chris has started a GOODFORTHEGAME EPL FANTASY LEAGUE and you can click here to join

WEEKEND PLAYS
The rugby forum thread has been active and I am way more involved than I usually am at this time of the week.
A Rugby Championship Double
New Zealand opened -12.5 after last weeks loss to Argentina and I took stock as expected the line to start -15.5 (logic in the preview). It has moved to -14.5 and I am looking to the points lines for additional interest.
I had a similar “trading” view when the Boks named their team and I took +14.5 (at 5/6) and +13.5 (at 9/10)
The line has moved slower than I expected but I still think it will edge in to 10.5 before kick off – click here for Wallabies v Boks preview
I am taking New Zealand to score 32 points or more in good conditions, this would have arrived in 7 of their last 9 Eden Park matches and am throwing in an alternative Australia handicap in what should be wet conditions.
Double: 4 units New Zealand over 31.5 pts (5/6) onto Australia +20.5 (4/10) at 15/10 at WSB

An early Currie Cup acca
Followers of the show and forum have grabbed the over 59.5 points on the Pumas v Bulls game tonight and the line is now 62.5 to 64.5 depending on where you shop.
All Currie Cup plays will be posted in this article (waiting for more books to price up on points on Saturday and Sunday games)
I am taking this Currie Cup acca in the interim
Acca: 1 unit at 11/1 at WSB
Over 62.5 Pumas game at 9/10
Lions -11 at 19/20
Sharks win at 9/4
Code to populate Bet Slip: 13913300
Roglic to have it Rough
Roglic is the 2/1 favourite for the Vuelta but I am not convinced he is over his TDF injuries. This should be a wild race and I am going to oppose one of my favourite riders.
BET: 3 units Roglic to Podium NO at 19/20 at Sportingbet*
*If you don’t have a Sportingbet account please use this link to open one
The bet is under Cycling/Vuelta/General Classification
I reckon we could be in for a rare Grand Tour upset and will post my long terms and stage plays in this forum thread.
Hulle weet nie wat ons weet nie
I am not a massive UFC fan but will be up for this fight between 2 guys who genuinely don’t seem to like each other.
Punters will add bets to our forum thread but for now I am going for a boost at WSB
UFC Boost: 1 unit Gamrot/Erceg and Du Plessis to win at 7/2 – code 13913811

Phew that was a monster newsletter and lets hope for some exciting contests and most importantly that we deal out some punishment to the bookies.
Have a great weekend
