The English Premier League continues this weekend and we take a look at the Saturday fixtures from a betting angle.

BettingDiaryBefore we get stuck into the matches let’s have a look at the Outright betting where Manchester City are trading as 4/11 favourites, Liverpool remain second favourites, but now at 13/2, Arsenal are 10/1, Tottenham 11/1 and you can get 22/1 and better the balance.

Southampton v Manchester United – Click here to bet

Southampton are currently 11th on the table after 3 matches, 3 positions and 1 point ahead of Manchester United. Last time out Southampton beat Leicester 2-1 on the road, their first victory of the season.

Manchester United opened their campaign with two defeats, but they installed confidence at the club with a 2-1 win over Liverpool last time out.

Goals have flowed in both Southampton and Manchester United matches with over 2.5 goal backers collecting profits in each game they have played this season. Over 2.5 goals is priced at 4/7 which is a bit short for me so I am going to go with the bigger price for Over 3.5 goals at 14/10

Suggested Bet: Over 3.5 Goals at 14/10

Brentford v Everton – Click here to bet

Brentford are currently 8th on the table with 4 points from their opening 3 matches. Last time out they lost 3-2 away to Fulham. Their only home game of the season was a 4-0 win over Manchester United.

Everton are 17th on the log and still without a victory and their only point of the season came 1-1 at home to Nottingham last time out where they required a late equaliser to get the point.

Brentford did the double over Everton last season and I am expecting them to pick up the 3 points here.

Suggested Bet: Brentford win at 21/10

Brighton v Leeds – Click here to bet

Brighton are 5th on the table with two wins and a draw from their opening 3 games, the same points return as Leeds have. Both Brighton wins have come on the road and their only home game was a goalless draw against Newcastle. Leeds two wins have come at home with their only away game finishing 2-2 at Southampton.

These teams look evenly matched and I cannot pick a winner.

Suggested Bet: The draw at 11/4

Chelsea v Leicester – Click here to bet

Chelsea were hammered 3-0 away at Leeds last time out and currently sit mid-table. Their only home game this season was a 2-2 draw to Tottenham.

Leicester made a slow start and have only got 1 point from their opening 3 games. Last time out they lost 2-1 at home to Southampton and their only away game was a 4-2 defeat at Arsenal.

I was looking at Over 2.5 goals here, but at 6/10 it is a bit short for me to get involved although the price is justified given that 5 out of the 6 matches played that these sides have been involved in this season have seen 3 goals or more scored. Chelsea look a little short for my liking in this game and I am going to back Leicester to get something out of it.

Suggested Bet: Handicap, Leicester +0.5 goals at 19/20

Liverpool v Bournemouth – Click here to bet

Both these sides are struggling towards the foot of the table with Liverpool in 16th and Bournemouth in 15th. Liverpool’s last game was a 2-1 defeat at Manchester United and their only home game this season was a 1-1 draw against Palace.

Bournemouth opened their campaign with a victory over Aston Villa at home, but since then have lost against Manchester City and Arsenal conceding 7 goals without scoring.

Liverpool’s defence hasn’t been at its best this season and they have conceded goals in each match, but against Bournemouth I am expecting them to tighten up and keep a clean sheet. This has me leaning to under 3.5 goals as the bet

Suggested Bet: Under 3.5 goals at 17/20

Manchester City v Crystal Palace – Click here to bet

Manchester City are currently sitting 2nd on the log having dropped their first points of the season in a 3-3 draw at Newcastle last time out. They were 3-1 down early in the second-half, but came storming back to force a thrilling finish.

Palace are currently sitting mid-table and they got their first win of the season, 3-1 at home to Aston Villa in their last game. Their only road trip was a 1-1 draw at Liverpool. Palace stunned City last season winning this fixture 2-0 at odds of almost 20/1 and the reverse fixture was goalless at Palace.

I can see Palace putting up a fight here and expect them to get on the score sheet.

Suggested Bet: Both teams to Score, Yes, at 11/10

Arsenal v Fulham – Click here to bet

The Gunners are flying high at the top of the table with 3 wins from 3 and last time out they beat Bournemouth 3-0 on the road. Their only home game this season was a 4-2 win over Leicester.

Fulham have had a strong start to the season and they are undefeated after 3 games and got their first win 3-2 at home to Brentford last time out. Their only away game was a goalless draw at Wolves.

I think Arsenal will win this game which could be a potentially high scoring encounter.

Suggested Bet: Arsenal, Total Goals Over 2.5 at 1/1
