BettingDiaryEngland and Australia meet in the 2nd T20 at Old Trafford on Sunday and if it is anything like as close as the first T20 we should be in for some great entertainment.

We put up two bets in the first T20, the first for England to win at 8/10. They batted first and scored 162 for 7 in their 20 overs with Buttler and Malan doing the damage, scoring 44 and 66 respectively. For Australia, Richardson was the stand out bowler with 2 for 13 in his 3 overs.

Australia got off to a strong start and looked to be coasting to victory only to fall agonisingly (for them not me) short finishing on 160 for 6, to lose by 2 runs. This landed us our 2nd bet by the narrowest of margins having gone over 321.5 Total Runs in the game that ended up 322 runs. So it was one of those nights where both bets could have gone against us, but we ended up collecting.

A quick look at the 3 match series betting where England are trading at 2/7 and Australia 11/4. There is also series Correct Score Betting.

SUGGESTED BET: Australia to win the series at 11/4

I gave England the benefit of the doubt in the opener as expected Australia to have some rust and rather than take the even money Australia win this game, I am going to take a longer view that they can come back and win the series at odds of just shy of 3/1.

MATCH BETTING

England 17/20

Australia 1/1

SUGGESTED BET: Top Australia Batsmen – Smith at 7/2

Smith looked pretty sharp in the 1st match scoring 18 off 11 balls and with the series on the line I am expecting him to come good.
