BettingDiaryThe Bahrain Grand Prix is one of two Grand Prix’s to be run at the Bahrain International Circuit and we take a look at the race from a betting angle.

Lewis Hamilton chalked up his 4th successive victory when he won an exciting Turkish Grand Prix two weeks ago. Fastest lap of the race went to Lando Norris and Lance Stroll had started on Pole Position, in the end it was Sergio Perez who finished 31 seconds behind Hamilton and just ahead of Sebastian Vettel and the other Ferrari, Charles Leclerc.

It was Vettel’s first podium finish of the season and Vettel will be hoping to take that form into this week as he has fond memories of this track, having won 4 times in Bahrain, twice in his Red Bull Renault and twice in a Ferrari. Last year though it was Lewis Hamilton who won ahead of Bottas in 2nd and Leclerc in 3rd.

We have been treated to some exciting Grand Prix’s of late and this track is known for its set up being friendly to overtaking manoeuvres so hopefully we will get another one.

Lewis Hamilton 4/9

Valtteri Bottas 4/1

Max Verstappen 13/2

70/1 and better the balance

BETTING STRATEGY

Lewis Hamilton is a short priced favourite at 4/9 and frankly it is hard to oppose him on current form, he looks head and shoulders above everyone else, that being said, 4/9 is just not a price I can take even with the money back for 2nd place guarantee at World Sports Betting.

Rather than look to beat him I am going to go for another market and that is a podium finish where I am going to give Sebastian Vettel the benefit of the doubt. Conditions probably suited his skills last week, but the fact that he got a podium has me hoping that there could be more to come from the German and I am going to take a 25/1 that he makes a Top 3 finish.

My other bet is the 18/10 that Lando Norris finishes inside the Top 6. He achieved this in 6 of the opening 9 races, but then went off the boil a bit, however consecutive 8 place finishes has me thinking he could be ready to go in again.

BET

Vettel, podium at 25/1

BET

Norris, Top 3 at 18/10
