BettingDiaryThere is one DSTV Premiership game taking place on Friday night and it features 2nd place SuperSport United up against TS Galaxy and we take a look at the game from a betting angle.

SuperSport United have only taken 2 points from the last 9 they have played for and last time out were disappointingly beaten 1-0 at AmaZulu. Their last home game was a 1-1 draw against Pirates and prior to that they drew away at Chiefs 1-1.

The AmaZulu match broke a run of 5 successive games where both teams have found the net in SuperSport matches. SuperSport are undefeated at home this season with 5 wins and 5 draws in their 10 starts, 4 of those draws though have come in their last 5 home matches and they are now 3 points behind Sundowns who have 3 games in hand.

SuperSport’s home matches averaged 2.2 goals each this season and 4 of the 10 games would have delivered you a profit if you had been on over 2.5 goals.

Galaxy sit 8th on the table, but they have had an impressive run that sees them undefeated in their last 6 with 4 wins and 2 draws. Last time out they stunned Swallows 2-1 to inflict the first defeat of the season on the Soweto team and delivered some nice profits for followers of this blog who backed them at over 3/1.

They have played 9 matches on the road this season winning only 2, but drawing 5 and losing 2 which actually puts them 6th on the log were the PSL only looking at away matches. Only 3 of the 9 Galaxy away games have reached 3 goals or more and their away matches averaged 2.1 goals each.

The sides met in the PSL earlier in the season with SuperSport winning 3-0 on the road.

SuperSport 8/10

Draw 5/2

TS Galaxy 7/2

Suggested Bet: Both teams to score, YES, at 5/4

This bet would have arrived in 3 of the last 5 Galaxy matches and 4 of the last 5 SuperSport games so I think there is a bit of value and frankly I am struggling to find a bet on the game winner where I think Galaxy might be value at 7/2, but I don’t have the confidence to pull the trigger.
