India

India had been 2/1 outright favourites pre-tournament but they have lost both their matches so far by wide margins and only Scotland are below them in the group standings.

India came up against arch rivals Pakistan in their opening match in Dubai and crashed to a 10 wicket defeat. They posted 151/7 Kohli (57) and Pakistan wrapped the chase up in 17.5 overs.

On Sunday they came up against New Zealand and this time they managed to score just 110/7 with Jadeja's 26 not out the top score. New Zealand crashed off the chase in 14.3 overs for an 8 wicket victory

India are now tasked with having to win this game to stay in contention. If they do they still have matches against the group minnows Scotland and Namibia in which to repair their net run rate and hope that is enough to squeeze through. However they would also need New Zealand to be upset in one of their remaining matches and with that in mind, India are now trading at around 33/1 to win the tournament.

The Verdict

Although India put in another shocker against New Zealand Jasprit Bumrah returned decent figures of 2/19 in his 4 overs and he gets the vote to be top Indian bowler. KL Rahul has been a big disappointment in his 2 knocks so far but has the class to make him worth following in the Indian top bat market.

Bets: Top Indian Bowler Bumrahat 5/2

Top Indian Bat KL Rahul at 11/4
