The pick of Saturday's English Premier League matches takes place at St. James Park where Newcastle host Manchester United
Newcastle
Despite a crippling list of injuries and a couple of suspensions Newcastle have lost just 1 of their last 9 league games, winning 6 and drawing the other 2. A 4-1 home win over Chelsea last weekend saw them finish the round in seventh spot, 1 point and 1 place behind their opponents here. Newcastle have won 6 of 7 home games in the EPL this season with Liverpool's 2-1 win bucking the trend.
On Tuesday Newcastle were in UCL action away to PSG and they were pegged back by an injury time penalty to draw 1-1 after a terrific display. In order to make the last 16 Newcastle now need to beat AC Milan in their final group match on home turf and hope already qualified Dortmund avoid defeat at home to PSG.
Man United
United have won their last 3 league games, keeping a clean sheet in all those matches to get the better of Fulham away and Luton at home (both 1-0) and most recently they were 3-0 winners at Everton. They now have a record of 8 wins and 5 defeats and before beating Everton with daylight all of those victories have come by a single goal margin.
On Wednesday United drew 3-3 away to Galatasaray in the UCL, letting a game they led 2-0 and 3-1 slip. They have a home game against Bayern still to come which they need to win to have any chance of going through but they also need Gala and FC Copenhagen to draw.
Recent Head to Head
Last season this fixture finished 2-0 to Newcastle, the first league meeting of 22/23 at Old Trafford finished without a goal and when the teams met in the EFL Cup final United won 2-0.
The Betting
At the time of writing Newcastle are trading at 19/20 to win the game with the draw priced at 11/4 and Man United can be backed at around 27/10
A game of 3 goals or more is priced at 8/11 and it's 13/20 for both teams to score

The Verdict:
Newcastle's home form is strong and whilst United have kept 3 consecutive clean sheets in the league they have shipped 7 goals in 2 UCL away matches. Still,
I'm open minded about the result and prefer to look for goalscorers and Bruno Fernandes' current price to pop up anytime looks healthy enough to me.
Bets: Anytime goalscorer Bruno Fernandes at 4.23/1 with Playabets
