MI CAPE TOWN

MI Cape Town now have a 50% record in this Tournament and after an opening win over Paarl Royals they went down to the Durban Super Giants away and they beat the Joburg Super Kings back in Cape Town.

Their last game was against the Sunrisers Eastern Cape when they went down by 4 wickets. George Linde was the star with the bat scoring 63 not out off 28 balls to get them to a respectable 158 for 8 and while the bowlers put up a good fight it wasn’t enough to stop the Sunrisers from grabbing victory. Odean Smith with 3 for 23 was pick of the bowlers.

SUNRISERS EASTERN CAPE

The Sunrisers Eastern Cape lost both of their games away against the Pretoria Capitals, but last time out they bounced back with a good victory over MI Cape Town. The Sunrisers won the toss and decided to bowl first restricting MI Cape Town to 158 for 8 with Baartman getting 3 for 45 and Aiden Markram 2 for 8 in his 2 overs.

The Sunrisers then chased the score down with 3 balls and 4 wickets to spare Captain, Aiden Markram leading from the front with 50 off 35 and there was also a useful 41 off 35 from Sarel Erwee.

MI Cape Town 4/7

Sunrisers Eastern Cape 27/20

Suggested Bet: Sunrisers Eastern Cape Top Bowler, Magala at 21/10

I have been so impressed with this man in the series to date and he bagged 2 wickets in his last start. He bowls with great control and line and length and he is always likely to be amongst the wickets.

Suggested Bet: MI Cape Town Top Batter, Rassie van der Dussen at 21/10

Van der Dussen is showing signs of playing himself into form and he scored 29 runs in a losing cause last time out against the Sunrisers. I am backing him to continue this improvement and to be the Top Batsman for the home team
