SUNRISERS EASTERN CAPE

Sunrisers Eastern Cape chased down 172 for victory in their penultimate game against MI Cape Town with Jansen playing an absolute blinder to win the match. They then played Paarl Royals where they won the toss and decided to bowl first. They restricted the Royals to 127 for 7 with Roelof van der Merwe and Aiden Markram both getting 2 for 21 off their 4 overs and Brydon Carse got 2 for 29 off his 4. The Sunrisers chased the total down with 10 balls to spare and 5 wickets in hand. Jordan Hermann was the pick of the batsmen with 43 from 39 balls.

JOBURG SUPER KINGS

The Joburg Super Kings are coming off a double header against the Pretoria Capitals. They beat the Pretoria Capitals in Johannesburg by 6 runs, but then were given a hammering in Centurion last time out. The Pretoria Capitals won the toss and sent the Super Kings in to bat and although Faf Du Plessis scored a superb 51 off 22 balls the Super Kings were bowled out for 122 in the 16th over. The Pretoria Capitals then lost 4 wickets and got the total with 7 overs to spare and it was Gregory who had the best bowling figures for the Kings with 1 for 12 in 2 overs.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape 17/20

Joburg Super Kings 19/20

Suggested Bet: Sunrisers Eastern Cape win at 17/20

Sunrisers Eastern Cape look like a team on the up while the Joburg Super Kings appear to lack balance and certainly Faf du Plessis aside have little batting confidence at the top of the order. I am happy to back the home team to take the win here.

Suggested Bet: Sunrisers Eastern Cape Top Bowler, Marco Jansen at 12/5

Jansen has performed brilliantly with the bat in this Tournament, but he hasn’t quite fired with the ball yet and I think that may change on Saturday.
