The Sunrisers Eastern Cape and Pretoria Capitals get their South Africa T20 league campaigns going at St George’s Park in Gqeberha on Thursday and we take a look at the game from a betting angle.

SUNRISERS EASTERN CAPE

 

The Sunrisers Easter Cape are based in Gqeberha and play out of St George’s Park.  Despite being underdogs there is plenty of quality in the batting ranks and Aiden Markram is the 17/10 favourite to be the top Sunrisers Eastern Cape batsman while big hitter Tristan Stubbs is second in the betting at 4/1 and you can get 9/2 about Adam Rossington and Smuts with 11/2 and better the balance.

The Sunrisers have a low profile bowling unit compared to some of the opposition and Magala heads the betting as the Top Wicket taker in the team at 28/10.  You can get 7/2 about Baartman and Crane with Protea Jansen priced at 9/2 and then there is 7/1 and better the balance.

The Pretoria Capitals team will be playing out of Centurion Park.

As I have done with the first two previews I am going to steer clear of the match betting at this point.

Nortje is one of the few players who came out from the Australian series holding his head up high and he reverts now to the shorter format where his speed should once again be a major asset.  Nortje is the sort of player who regular gets 3 or 4 wickets in an innings and I am hoping for something along those lines here.
