The Sunrisers Eastern Cape take on the Durban Super Giants in Gqeberha in Sunday’s second match and we suggest a couple of bets in the game.

The Sunrisers Eastern Cape are currently 3rd on the log on 12 points from their 6 matches with 3 wins and 3 victories. They can be backed at 11/2 to win the Tournament.

The Durban Super Giants are currently bottom of the table on 8 points from their 5 matches having won 2 games and lost 3. They are now the rank outsiders of the Tournament at 13/2.

SUNRISERS EASTERN CAPE

Sunrisers Eastern Cape were in action yesterday when they hosted the Joburg Super Kings in what turned out to be a low scoring encounter. The visitors had won the toss and sent the Sunrisers into bat, restricting them to 127 all out in the 19th over. Adam Rossington was top scorer for the hosts with 40 off 31 balls. The Joburg Super Kings then knocked off the runs with 2 balls to spare and 5 wickets in hand and Roelof van der Merwe was the pick of the bowlers with his 2 for 16 in 4 overs.

A victory here for the Sunrisers would put them well on their way to challenging for semi-final qualification.

DURBAN SUPER GIANTS

The Durban Super Giants were in action on Friday against the Pretoria Capitals in Durban. They won the toss and decided to bat first, a decision that quickly back-fired and they were bowled out for 80 with only Heinrich Klaasen with his 31 off 24 balls really troubling the scorers. Despite losing a wicket on the first ball of the innings the Capitals then made short work of the chase, scoring 84 for 2 in just under 8 overs. There is nothing to write home about as far as bowling figures go with Maharaj and Mayers picking up the wickets.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape 17/20

Durban Super Giants 1/1

Suggested Bet: Over 1, Durban Super Giants Total over 5.5 runs at 8/10

This is a bet I have really begun to enjoy during this Tournament and although the excitement doesn’t last for long it certainly is a thrilling 6 balls at the start of the innings. Kyle Mayers went out first ball yesterday, but he is the sort of player who goes for it from ball one and is well capable of making short work of this first over target.

Suggested Bet: Player to score the most 6’s, Tristan Stubbs at 5/1

Stubbs has looked very good at times in this Tournament, but he really needs a big innings and he has made a number of starts. He is the sort of player who deals in sixes and if he hangs around this bet is a big runner.
