Weather Forecast - Glasgow

Warriors:

The Warriors topped the log heading into the later rounds of the regular season but a couple of defeats on tour in South Africa saw them overhauled and they eventually finished fourth with a record of 13 wins and 5 defeats. It was tight and they were level with Leinster on points and just 3 behind Munster and 1 shy of the Bulls.

In matches against SA opposition the Warriors beat the Stormers 20-9 in Glasgow in Round 3 and they also beat the Sharks 21-10 in another home fixture. In Round 16 they lost 40-34 to the Bulls at Loftus and a week later they went down 44-21 to the Lions at Ellis Park.

In the play offs last season the Warriors lost a home quarter final to Munster (14-5)

The Warriors are priced at 11.5/1 to win the URC title with BoyleSports

Stormers:

The Stormers have contested both of the previous finals but this time around they find themselves travelling in the play offs.

A top 4 finish and a home quarter was beyond them before last week's 29-24 home win over the Lions which saw the Stormers finish fifth on the log with a record of 11 wins and 7 defeats and their tally of 59 log points was 6 shy of their opponents here.

The Stormers lost 4 consecutive tour matches in the early rounds including the defeat in Glasgow but they did win at the Dragons and Connacht at the tail end of the season.

Last season the Stormers beat the Bulls in the quarters and Connacht in the semi's but they came up short against Munster in a home final.

In the outright betting the Stormers are priced at 10.5/1 to win the URC title with BoyleSports

Betting Angle

I handicapped this game at Glasgow -3.5 and after opening -1.5 it seems to have settled exactly where I forecast. That is not always a good thing as finding an angle can be tough however the more I think about it the more I fancy the home team to win this by at least 4 points.

Hanrick was bullish on the -1.5 early doors in the forum and while I missed that line I still think there is some juice in the home team.

The points line of 50 looks about right although I am leaning unders and may yet get involved.

BET: 4 units Glasgow -3.5 at 19/20 at WSB
