Tough week so far with results, going for an outsider tomorrow:

Race 1 - Pocketfullofstars @ 25/1
Half brother to top sprinter Talktothestars from same stable. Other siblings also have all won over the sprint distance. Fav from Tarry yard looks like will be looking for further and drawn widest, worth a go for me at these odds.

Enjoy the days racing if we have any after course debacle on Tuesday

Trying 1 today, Tarry yard in decent patch this week, i like the price here -

R3 Makaro 17/2 ew. Thru a line via the talented Mill Queen i think she's probably 2nd best in field, i do have massive respect for light mass on Laetitias Angel but will take my chance at the bigger odds on M.

Some really nice race horses stepping out tomorrow in the Cape and JHB.

Durbanville

Race 1 - Song @ 20/1 & Tallahesse @ 40/1
Fav looks very well backed in the form of Rain in Newmarket. It could win and I have taken my 2 weighted for places.
Song full sister to Belgarion who won first time up over 1200m. Other siblings also seem to have some pace when younger, but definitely will be looking for further, but Stable and Jock was good for me last couple of weeks.
Tallahesse I remember last time been backed in and then drifting when money came for fav Stuck on You. Going that day was very soft so for me worth another go. Cant get hurt at these odds, will take swingers with fav and my 2 as well.

Race 5 - Gate Sixty Nice @ 7/1
Really good couple of last runs, and with extr 4 Kg's should be there bouts at end. Coming up againest some really nice sorts but hopefully with allowance will be close

Race 6 - Helen's Ideal @ 20/1
Jockey booking and racing fit and probably racing at ideal distance. Yes some big guns but most are coming back from short rests. Of the fav's I really like Pretty Young Thing, been good to me

Race 7 - Count Jack @ 6/1
Kasimir looks hard to beat but will take on with Count Jack. After poor Durban season might be happier back at home and worth another shot.

Turffontein
Some really nice sorts stepping out. will post thoughts tomorrow

Hope you enjoy the racing tomorrow.

Great thoughts KT. On my phone only at moment so will post fancies later, but as an early acca on Turffontein card as a different type of bet I’d usually place -

R1 Meneera
R5 true to life
R6 golden belle
R7 mount pleasant
R9 Kay tee Perry

17/1 place acca

I am adding one for Durbanville

Race 6 - Icon Princess @ 22/1
Yes at MR should have to much to find, but on line through Third Runway, getting 5.5kg for a 1.25l beating. But if any sort of repeat of that should be close.

T1 - Meeneera @ 5/1
drifting but will have a nibble @ that price but am more interested in places, as i see holes in the formlines of some of the other runners where some really ordinary types have stepped out since.

T3 Toolchoolforschool 25/1
Weighted to place, but on breeding wants distance to this step up should suit. No world beaters this field, no harm at the price.

T5 True to Life 10/1
Up against some smart 3yr olds but the youngsters sometimes need an outing when moving up a level. TTL is classy, loves the highveld, and top jock aboard.

to continue..

T6 Golden Belle 5/1
Have rated this one for some time, 2 wins this course and nice effort last time out under a monster weight.

Lovely stuff lads, just got home and missed all the rugby action , some terrific calls there and hope I haven't arrived for the funeral !

Joburg
Race 1.
Expecting big improvement from Dancing Arabian, 9/2. Also respect Lhasa Star 33/10 after running in some strong formlines.

Race 2.
Man of Property should be tough to beat, 14/10.

Race 3.
The odds on Travelling Wilbury was unlikely not to win first time out. Price very skinny now at 11/20. I'll lean towards Scottish Primrose, 11/2, supported on debut when running fairy well and should improve further.

Race 4.
Really in the camp of master Supreme here , 33/10. It's a nice race though but think this horse has improvement to come and will be right there .

Race 5.
Top race this , the 3 three year olds taking on older fillies, def including South's True to Life 9/1 and Due Diligence with blinkers on first time. 9/2.

Race 6.
Anything Goes keeps on improving , Golden Belle , Mill Queen, and Mount Laurel have chances too. Not sure of this race , fair amount of them are aiming for Summer Cup surprises so tread with caution.

Race 7.
Potentially a minefield if horses are at various stages of their fitness. Mount Pleasant could be a super star and I'm leaning towards this one at 28/10.

Race 8.
Lady of Steel retunrs from Durban , looks hard to beat 16/10 , she's taking on colts and gelding again so will tread carefully.

Race 9
kay Tee Perry should run well here , 33/10

Cape Town

Race 2
Juan Carlos , lovely bred and has been supported from a quiet stable, narrowly worth a punt on the nose at 3/1.

Race 4.
Really tough race , was waiting for Marina to run again and is now the fav at 28/10, will still follow though eachway.

Race 5.
Going with My Bestie , 7/1 . The 2 Snaith runners return from Durban and must be watched.

Race 6.
Will include both of KT's fancies, throwing in Mississippi Burning although she won't probably be fully tuned she has the class to still win.

Race 7.
Twist of Fate was finally gelded, first run since the July and should need it but is my first choise at 11/2.

Race 8.
My get out stakes bet , Phils Power 18/10 ... will be putting the baby on !

Enjoy lads

T7 Astrix 16/1 ew
On class shouldn't be in the shake up but i think could be a touch fitter than a few here. Formline franked by de Kock runner last time out and unbeaten c/d.

T8 Putontheredlight 3/1
Small field, looks very well weighted here carrying just 54.5kg.

T9
Kay Tee Perry 7/2
Basing this one on top jock booking and positive stable comments.

Durbanville, looks tricky -

R2 Excelsior 20/1 ew
just like the way these Futuras tend to be quite forward, and when Crawford has a Futura in yard i'll give it some respect.

R4 Karoo Winter 5/1
Formlines decent, does give 4kg to stablemate but plum draw and experienced jock aboard.

R5 Liberty Hall 8/1
Sticking with him after not finding best in KZN, maybe Cape might suit him more, has bumped good sorts in past.

R6 Third Runway 7/1
Bounced right back to best last time out and unbeaten this trip.

R7 Majestic Moazart 9/1
Another who i followed for a while, never quite finds luck in running, maybe today can spring a small surprise.

good racing.

Some disappointing racing today after yesterdays great racing.

Race 1 - Fort Mchenry @ 10/1
Stable companion looks like stable elect, but this one was taken to Cape for a reason, must have been showing something and maybe after gelding will improve.

Race 2 - Flaymefree @ 20/1
Fav looks hard to beat, but this one having 2nd run on Poly, 1st behind highly thought of Spree, only finishing 4.5l behind. Now running with a postage stamp on its back and getting 5Kg from fav and drawn well. Worth ago at these odds

Race 3 - Absolutist @ 20/1
Stable in reasonable form, and horse bred for this distance, with full siblings having won up to 2600m.

Will post anything else I see as the racing goes on.

Race 1.
With you KT on the Fort , also adding Spydas Corner 14/1.

Race 2.
El Torero getting things together nicely and is a decent price 7/1 eachway .

Race 3.
Giving cardboard Cowboy another chance , not confident though but at 20/1 a win and 15/10 a place first 4 Holly.

Race 4.
Looks a race in 2 , I prefer the African Sunrise at 2/1.

Race 5.
Only 6 runners now, going to throw the 3 year old Colour my Fate at 7/1 in to steal a march.

Race 6.
jack of Hearts 2/1 , after that anything.

Race 7.
Coldhardcash at 7/1 will like the poly , and Winter Chill 9/2.

Race 8.
Appears to be a race in 2.

And now there is a protest ...I ask you ...what is the point of poly then ? Makes my blood boil .
