Monday at the Vaal, weaher forecast looks a bit ominous, hopefully rain stays away. Race 1 the wife has a small share in Queen Theodora, her third run, debut was great at this track, had a tough winter healthwise and ran an OK fourth at Turffontein inside on return, hung in so cheek pieces on today. Has been money for the favourite and 1 of the first timers is fairly prominent in the betting, let's hope for the best.

Will also throw in speculative double into Summer Cup at around 59/1 after deduction for related event/runner.

A couple of early Fancies for tomorrow:
Race 2- Quiet Rebellion @ 25/1 (HW)
I really like the breeding and should be looking for this sort of trip. Trainer has been known to be bring them out ready. Jock has a fair record wit stable.
Race 3 = Green Haze @ 10/1 (HW)
Old fav of mine and seems to prefer the longer standside track. Decent record and looks like should be right there with favorite.
Race 4 - Marigold Hotel @ 14/1
Has a lot to find at the ratings, but this horse horse to beat Rain in Holland and last time only went down by 7l to ultra impressive Desert Miracle, giving her 2 Kg's. Yes will struggle but hopin for a nice surprise and run.
Race 5 - Eluid @ 25/1 & Astrix @ 45/1 (HW)
Eluid has taken his time but has slowly gotten better. Hoping can surprise at a nice price.
Astrix an old fav and got a decent mass.
Kenilworth
Race 1 - Noble Grace @ 12.5/1 & Eleodora @ 25/1
NG - Like the breeding and seem to be some pace in family. Not often you get a Snaith/Fourie horse at such a big price
Eleodora - Siblings seem to have some serious pace and Cheyne has an excellent record with trainer.
Race 3 - Sangria Run @33/1
Definitely Bred for further but sibling African Sunbird won over distance and still won over 2000m. Worth a shot.
Enjoy the racing

Less imaginative ....... to win ... Angelsea, 5/2 in Race 2, good debut behind 2 with solid form, awful draw but still think it's the right one.
Kenilworth, I quite like Veronique in the last race, around 5/1, looks closely matched with favourite to my eye, only 8 uns for 1 win and 5 places and looks very consistent, was badly drawn last time and still ran a decent race

T1 Wondering Start 18/1 ew.
Yard/jock combo had a debut winner during week and Bling riding for owners who is agent.
T5 Puetro Manzano 17/2 ew.
Posted earlier in week, i just think this one has been well wrapped up for the big features and comes in nicely weighted. It's a hot field though, will throw in SEEHAAM 20/1 ew as a lurker with low weight and 2nd run after layoff.
T7 Veld Flower 10/1 ew.
Caught my eye last time out, great record at course, stronger jock aboard today.
T8 Mombela 16/1 ew.
At 10yrs old you're not racing a horse if it isn't coming to course with strong chance of winning. No harm at price.
T9 SMokin Hot 17/1 ew.
Yeni aboard and this horse seldoms run far off them.
T10 Wave Warrior 8/1 BEST VALUE BET.
Big price on this one, best run was on standside track, expecting a bold effort.
K3 Sangrias Run 25/1 ew.
Just like breeding.
good racing.

Rant Over .
Joburg
Race 3
I think Sound of Summer beatable , but has great course form. Now sure where the winner will come from , leaning Nebraas at 6/1 but drifting like a barge currently.
Race 4
Opposing PP again , but I do think the fav is beatable again. I prefer Shield of Roses at 7/2.
Race 5
Could be a tough race this , Malmoos may not be fully wound up and the stable companion possibly not as good as we think, Gimmethegreenlight drifting, I like MK's Pride at 14/1.
Race 6
Pyromaniac my ew fancy here to go close, but drifting alarmingly , now 16/1
Race 7
A slight preference for Shivers at 11/2.

Race 10
The get out stakes ....

Play Well lads

Race 4 Tread Swiftly, wide open race, consistent, 2nd run back from a break
Race 5 Ultra Magnus, wide open race, back from a break but has won fresh before
Rac 6 Basetsana, a couple of weight turnaorunds on collaterl form cuaght me eye
Race 7 Conquer the Enemy, stable has another strong hand, just failed last time when badly drawn, extra 200 today
