Capitana around 17/1 ew for the Fillies on Sat. Like this one to enjoy the course, she finishes like a steam train and the testing 1200 should suit. Gets some weight back on a few, top 2 in betting look hard to beat but looking for value.

There is "Money back for non-starters" offers floating around for the Durban July at my books so for all you very clever horse chaps. Any early July bets would be much appreciated by us plebs.

I have taken a few of what South liked last weekend in Waterberry Lane. No 16 on the log so still not a certainty or make, but stable was positive after DN200. And more positive stable comments from them this week.

A couple I like in the main race

Ultra Magnus @ 20/1 (WSB)
Nice weight and on runs to some of favs, holds them on Turfontein runs and getting weight. Also drawn on right side if my memory serves me right

Warriors Rest @ 45/1 (WSB)
Yard always get them ready for these and on previous run to SMorgasboard holds him. Worth ago with Jock up as well

Will post other races but looks like could be some surprises

Just think yard about to hit a purple patch. I love Cosmic Highway but at under 3/1 I just can’t back.

S5 Baubels and Beads @ 14/1 ew. Lean times for Drier yard but always have the young fillies fit and well for graded races.

S6 kerrangatang @ 17/2 ew - I have to ignore last run as surely better than that.

S7 Capitana, got 20/1 ew now, happy to take that, too big.

S8 Hello Winter Hello @ 25/1 ew as per earlier post. Into 14’s, I hope a positive.

Race 2 - National Star @ 12/5
I know Grinkov is the rave for a lot of people and I will probably end with egg on my face, but i think will have to be brilliant to give 6Kg's to National Star. And even 3 to my 2nd choice Good Council.

Race 3 - Manhattan Cafe - 16/1
Badly drawn but distance shouldnt be a problem and hopefully running on at the end

Race 4 - Bay Breeze @ 40/1 (WSB)
Won over distance at Greyville in the soft, and dropped nicely down in MR. Worth a shot at these odds.

Race 5 - River Queress @ 10/1 (WSB)
Blinkers strike and the stable jock up. Last run was a bit disappointing but was giving weight to every one. This is weighted to places though.

Race 6 - Cliff Top @ 8/1
I was really impressed with the win in the Cape and it is a decent formline.

Race 7 - Big Burn @ 5/1
Really like this one, will hold thumbs can come back

Race 8 - As per above

Will see what else can get later

In with a chance , might be best value when are some questions regarding the other 3 shorter rivals

R1 Mr Henley 6/1, 2 good runs, beaten 1 length by a horse who lines up in the feature last time out.
R4 Rockie Reef 14/1, lightly raced and back up in trip, bit of hail mary but wide open race and nice price
R5 Glittering Girl 6/1, sparkling debut, could be very useful
R7 True to Life 11/1, as South points out yard ready to hit form
R8 Good Traveller 9/1, big ask but always been a fan of this one

Great call Mackem with Rockie Reef. Was a nice win
