EPL Monday

Brighton vs Wolves

Both teams are coming off a mini break so will be fresh and ready to go again ahead of a hectic schedule. The bookies are wide awake for this game and have priced most markets pretty well. Still, I fancy goals tonight so going bold and taking the over 3.5 goals line instead of the poor odds on the BTTS and over 2.5 line.

Brighton/Wolves over 3.5 goals - 15/10

Afcon Monday

With top spot secured I think Cape Verde rotate tonight and Egypt (6/10) get the win to claim second spot.

That means Ghana vs Mozambique becomes a knockout game for a third place finish and a win for either side gets them to 4 points and most likely a last 16 spot. A draw tonight and both go home so I think it will be very open and both teams have no choice but to go for it.

Ghana talisman Kudus is in fine form and West Ham fans will be hoping his team get knocked out tonight but I think he puts in another stellar performance to guide Ghana into the last 16. Taking some speculative plays on Kudus tonight.

Kudus to score - 22/10
Kudus to give an assist - 5/1
Kudus to score and assist - 15/1

AFCON MONDAY

Had a long day yesterday for an old guy. Champers at 05h00 and Bafana to midnight. Amazed I got away with only a small loss on the day.

Equatorial Guinea v Ivory Coast

Equatorial Guinea scored against Nigeria and they do carry a goal threat. Four against the minnows Guinea Bissau. Another one of those at AFCON where the odds just look too long for me

BTTS - Yes @ 16/10 Full bet.

Folowing on from Vin's logic above

Wins for
Nigeria/Ghana/Egypt @ 21/10

It sometimes amazes me how lucky books can get when I see something like Vin's outrights go down the tubes in 5 minutes of extra time. Stiffs man.

At AFCON nothing riding on the Guinea match and not going near the 13/10 BTTS on the Cameroon match. Last night Ivory Coast @ 4/10 with 70% possession could not score. May look at Mauritania match later this evening but for now

Over 2.5 match goals at

Thanks Vann, I still can't believe that bottle job by Ghana. Giving up the lead twice against Egypt and 2-0 up in 90mins last night and still find a way to concede two. Afcon betting has not been fun at all so think its time to throw in the towel and focus on what has been working. Hopefully your two outright picks can go far in the tournament.

EFL Cup
Chelsea vs Boro

Boro take a 1 goal lead into tonights second leg and I have no clue how the bookies are pricing this game. Chelsea at 2/10 and Boro at 15/1, it's like they are expecting Chelsea to steamroll Boro tonight, crazy and theres plenty of value with most of the markets for Boro tonight.

Against PL opposition Boro have been very impressive, especially in their games against Villa (FA Cup) and Chelsea first leg win. Away from home tonight and protecting a 1 goal lead I can see Boro playing on the counter and troubling Chelsea. Taking a cautious approach here to get a winner so backing some alternate lines at Sunbet. Effectively taking Boro on the 3+ goal handicap and a couple SOT.

Boro 2+ shots on target & 3+ handicap - 19/20

Asia Cup

Japan vs Indonesia

The big tournament favourites, Japan, are at the risk of elimination from the group stage, if they lose to Indonesia as well.

In the second match of the group they lost to Iraq 1-2.

Now Iraq are through from the first spot, regardless of the results tonight.

I expect a bounce back from Japan and win this match with ease, especially with all their stars playing in Europe.

However, considering that they struggled against Vietnam as well (4-2), I won't go for a big handicap.

Bet 1: Bet builder - Japan HT/FT + Japan over 2.5 goals @1.75
Bet 2: Japan -2.25 @1.70

A triple made up of matches that are played at the same time:

Japan (-1.75) + Iraq (+0.5) + Alcaraz @2.00

Nice call on the Boro goal bet Vann. I tried to get too clever and paid the price. Very very stiff on that Algeria BTTS bet, I have no idea how there was no goals in that second half.

Nice job on the Asian Cup games Quill, and wow I see Alcaraz is making a comeback now so hopefully the treble arrives. He was around 15/1 at one point in the third set as well.

EFL Cup Wednesday
Fulham vs Liverpool

This should be a good game tonight unlike last nights one sided match. Fulham will def go for it and they have caused Liverpool plenty of problems so far this season. I like Willian to have a few shots tonight so thats the main bet and than two speculative plays as well on the Brazilian.

Willian over 1.5 shots - 21/20
Willian to score - 7/1
Willian to give an assist - 8/1

Tottenham v Man City

Fortunately, was too young to remember, Vann ( I say that like it's been great since lol ), but my Dad was there and said it was the best build up to a game he ever had, but also one of his biggest disappointments watching Spurs as he thought it was in the bag. ( 4-2 win over Wimbledon, 1990, my first game, anyone who's interested )I think Spurs will hold their own tonight, so will have a go at

Spurs 12 or more shots @ 9/10

Liverpool vs Norwich

Joining you on that bet South. First Anfield game since Klopp announcement and I think every home game till end of the season is going to have an amazing atmosphere, almost like how its on UCL nights. With that I expect a fast start by Liverpool and think there will be some early goals as well. Taking three bets for this game, one a speculative play.

Liverpool over 3.5 goals - 15/10
Over 1.5 first half goals - 8/10
Diogo Jota to score and assist - 6/1

Equatorial Guinea not known for goal scoring recently with them generally getting one goal so entering the competition I can easily see these odds. I am not a fan of result betting on African sides as the draw will always be a big runner. All African sides believe they will win the penalty shoot-out. I considered two things for my bet this evening.
Late last year Malawi scored two against Guinea and Botswana also scored so they can leak a goal or so against weak sides. Secondly, Equatorial Guinea have scored goals for fun in this tournament and that is going to make them believe they will get a few goals if they keep pressing..

I have taken full punt at Sunbet

Over 1.5 match goals by Equatorial Guinea @ 7/2 (Mostly 33/10 but this at Sunbet)
