The Paarl Royals and the Pretoria Capitals are the last of the six sides to open their SA20 campaigns when they clash in Paarl on Friday

Paarl Royals
David Miller captain's a Royals squad which has plenty of firepower including Jos Buttler and Jason Roy. Other overseas stars Fabian Allen and Obed McCoy and Lorcan Tucker. Shamsi and Fortuin are spin options, Ngidi provides the pace, and the all round talents of Phehlukwayo will also be on view.
The Royals reached the semi finals in 2023 where they lost to their opponents here, the Capitals.

Pretoria Capitals
Wayne Parnell is the Capitals skipper and supplementing the local talent which includes Rille Rossouw and Anrich Nortje (if available) he can call on overseas stars including Adil Rashid, Paul Stirling, Phil Salt, Will Jacks and Jimmy Neesham.
The Capitals topped the log at the end of the regular season in 2023 and went on to make it to the final where they lost to the Sunrisers.

The Verdict
Another game where the favourite is only marginal and I'm battling to name a winner.
There is usually something for the spinners at Paarl and in the recent Proteas v India ODI at this venue the slow bowlers were the most economical. With that in mind I will take my chance with the top batter total from either side being under 67.5 runs.
