Sporting fans will be in their element on Friday with the kick-off of the EPL together with supporting acts from the Currie Cup and PSL. We take a look at some of the options available for punters in our Friday Diary.
EPL
In some ways it feels like only yesterday the English Premier League season was finishing up, but in others the wait seems to have taken for ever.
Friday night sees last year’s runners-up, Liverpool, at home to Norwich and the home side are massive favourites at 1/7 with the draw at 8/1 and Norwich 16/1. We can’t look past a big Liverpool victory here and a couple of correct score line punts that we like is the 4-0 Liverpool at 8/1 and the 4-1 Liverpool at 14/1.

PSL
Maritzburg United take on Highlands Park in the PSL on Friday night with Maritzburg 12/10 to win the game, the draw 2/1 and Highlands 53/20.
Maritzburg had a very poor home record last season and will be looking to return to the form they showed the previous year while Highlands Park were the side that were well known for draws all of last season and we suspect this will be a close game.
Our fancy for this game is a straight win on Maritzburg United at 12/10.

CURRIE CUP
There is one live Currie Cup game on Friday and it takes place at 15h00 at Newlands in Cape Town where Western Province are (-15.5) favourites to beat the Pumas.
WP desperately need the victory after a slow start to the season and the Pumas will be buoyed having beaten the Sharks at home last week. Western Province have won the last 3 times these sides have met at Newlands and the margins have been 15, 8 and 31 points respectively.
We expect Western Province to click and win, but the overall handicap does look quite big and we are going to go for the home team to be leading by 8 or more at the break at 9/10.

There is also some Friday morning rugby action in the form of the Mitre 10 Cup and Auckland are (-7.5) points at home to North Harbour. This competition has quite a following amongst South African punters and you can click here to bet on Auckland v North Harbour.
TENNIS, ATP Montreal
The ATP Montreal Rogers Cup continues on Friday and Friday night South African time sees the start of the quarter-finals. At the time of writing we are still awaiting the final line up, but you can click here for all of the Rogers Cup Odds.
GOLF
On the golfing front The Northern Trust Open and The Ladies Scottish Open continues and punters can either get involved after the rounds or in play.

HORSE RACING
Our Horse Racing tomorrow is at the Fairview Race Track scheduled to start at 12h10 with the last and final race at 16h45. Our fancy for the day comes in the 7th race where number 1 Streak of Silver is currently an 11/2 3rd favourite
