BettingDiaryCricket World Cup, Copa America, Womens World Cup football and Royal Ascot are all in focus on Wednesday. We also look ahead to this week’s BMW International Open on the European Tour and with Wimbledon looking later this month we take in an outright betting update for the Men’s Singles.

Cricket World Cup

It’s a big day for South Africa in the Cricket World Cup with unbeaten New Zealand providing the opposition at Edgbaston. The Black Caps have won 3 matches and 1 other game was washed out and whilst the Proteas opened their win account at the fifth time of asking when thrashing Afghanistan at the weekend, Faf du Plessis and his side have no margin for error in their remaining matches. New Zealand are favourites right now at 15/20 and South Africa can be backed at 11/10.

We have a full match betting preview on this link and we fancy New Zealand to post the highest first 15 overs total and their skipper Kane Williamson to score 40 runs or more. Bet on New Zealand v South Africa.

All betting markets for the Cricket World Cup, outright and individual matches are available here.

Football

COPA America is being streamed live on World Sports Betting TV and at 23:30 on Wednesday Colombia clash with invite nation Qatar and in the early hours of Thursday morning Argentina are in action against Paraguay.

Both matches are in Group D and Colombia are red hot favourites at 2/7 to build on their 2-0 win over Argentina in their opening match. However Qatar showed they are not to be underestimated when fighting back from 2-0 down to draw their opener 2-2 with Paraguay. Colombia can be backed at 13/10 to win 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0 in the Multi Score market.

Argentina can’t afford to slip up against Paraguay and they are 9/20 favourites to kick start their tournament with a victory with the draw currently trading at 33/10 and Paraguay can be backed at 25/4. Over 2.5 goals in this game is currently trading at 17/20. Click here to be on Argentina v Paraguay.

Group D is the focus in the Women’s World Cup where Japan take on England and Scotland clash with Argentina. England top this quartet with 2 wins from 2, Japan are currently second with 4 points, Argentina have 1 and Scotland have yet to open their account.

With best third place finisher spots available all 4 teams are still in contention and hence the Scotland v Argentina game could be a tense occasion. England are even money favourites to make it 3 wins from 3 and they did beat Japan 3-0 earlier this year but in the circumstances the draw could be a runner here at 21/10.

The Prince of Wales Stakes is due off at 16:40, 8 runners go to post and Magical currently tops the betting boards at 18/10.

Golf:

After the excitement of last week’s US Open this week’s golf sees the Travelers Championship held at TPC River Highlands, Connecticut and in Europe the BMW International Open takes place in Munich.

We will look at the Travelers in our next bulletin whilst in the BMW International defending champion Matt Wallace is currently favourite at 10/1 ahead of Matthew Fitzpatrick at 12/1. Sergio Garcia, who usually goes well in this event, is 14/1 and Martin Kaymer, who tied for 2nd in Munich last year is trading at 16/1. South Africa’s Erik Van Rooyen who tied 43rd at +2 in last week’s US Open is a 25/1 chance.

Joost Luiten is another 25/1 shot who has form in this event, he returns from a break and could give us a good run for our money. Players by group, 72 hole match betting and top player by region markets are also on offer.

All this week’s golf markets are available here.

Super Rugby

We will look at each of the Super Rugby quarter finals later in the week. For now, a reminder that outright winner betting and match result and handicap markets for the first round of play offs are available and bear in mind our special promotion below.
